    Spoilers 06/01/08

    Monday 7 January 2008

Jimmy (Nick Miles) faces the cold shoulder from Carrie (Linda Lusardi) after making it clear that he still has feelings for Kelly. When Jimmy tries to apologise to Scarlett (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) for his treatment of Daz (Luke Tittensor) she also gives him short shrift. Carrie overhears him warning Scarlett against making the same mistakes as she did and flies off the handle. Explaining that Scarlett wants to leave the village, Carrie remarks that there's no point staying if Jimmy can't return her love. Jimmy agrees and their fling comes to an abrupt end. Will he regret his decision?

Over in the village hall, the more senior villagers are critical of Jonny's (Richard Grieve) high-tempo dancercise class. Picking up on the demand for a ballroom dance class, Viv (Deena Payne) sees an opportunity. Returning to the café she outlines her plans to Bob (Tony Audenshaw) to hold a charity dance contest.

Meanwhile, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) furthers her and Lexi's (Sally Oliver) plan for vengeance against Ross (Samuel Anderson) by plastering the village with his naked photograph. Ross is worried when he receives the original picture in the post and his humiliation is complete when he finds one in a prime location in the Woolpack. Will Ross learn from the old adage about scorned females?

    Tuesday 8 January 7pm

Andy's (Kelvin Fletcher) work continues behind the scenes as a frantic Jo (Roxanne Pallett) prepares for her big day. She's gobsmaked when Sam (James Hooton) accidentally mentions she won't be getting married in church. With nobody wanting to spoil the surprise, Jo is kept in the dark until Andy arrives to escort her to the venue. She's overwhelmed to be greeted by a transformed barn and a beautiful wedding dress, but her glee is tempered when Andy's solicitor arrives. The guests are stunned when he reveals that Andy has been summoned to court for sentencing. With the day ruined, Andy breaks down in Jo's arms. Will he be back to marry the woman he loves or face time behind bars?

Elsewhere, Jonny (Richard Grieve) and Marlon (Mark Charnock) hold the first of their health club meetings in the Woolpack. As the villagers begin arguing over the route to physical perfection, Jonny makes the bold assertion that he can make them look five years younger in five weeks. Can he deliver on his promise?

Also, when Carrie (Linda Lusardi) clocks Jimmy (Nick Miles) trying to contact Kelly relations are strained further between them. Scarlett (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) remarks to her mother that it's natural for Jimmy to feel the way he does. Later Jimmy confides in Carl (Tom Lister) about his situation, who urges his brother to make himself happy and try committing to Carrie. Thoughtful, Jimmy talks to Carrie but she remains unconvinced of his feelings. Furious with himself, Jimmy tears Kelly's number from the phone book. Will Jimmy finally put the past behind him?

    Wednesday 9 January 7pm

Eli (Joseph Gilgun) notices Lily (Anne Charleston) in pain and tells her to do something about it. After her dancing skills are affected a desperate Lily goes cap in hand to Eli for more cannabis. Eli complies but with one condition, that Lily allows him to grow cannabis in the poly tunnel. When Lily tries to object Eli threatens to tell Edna (Shirley Stelfox). Does Lily have any choice but to go into business with a Dingle?

At the Woolpack, Rodney (Patrick Mower) leads the banter circulating on Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) and Donald's (Michael Jayston) bizarre relationship. Desperate to discover more about his aged son-in-law, Rodney visits the hospital. After he infers that Donald is playing a game with Nicola the two men begin to bond. Each recognising Nicola's penchant for scheming, Donald acknowledges being slightly devious himself and agrees to lay off a little. But is this just a ruse to quieten suspicions in the village?

    Thursday 10 January 7pm

After sleeping rough with Daz (Luke Tittensor), Scarlett (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) finds Jimmy (Nick Miles) and reveals she doesn't want to leave for Canada. Reuniting with Daz later on Scarlett is thrilled to discover her feelings for him are mutual and is desperate not to leave. Meanwhile, Carrie (Linda Lusardi) is surprised to see her old flame Nick (Sam Kane) turn up in the village asking for a decision on the job offer in Canada. Jimmy tracks down Carrie and accuses her of wanting the move to get back at him. Scarlett compounds her confusion by revealing she and Daz are together and Carrie is left with no choice but to stay. Where does this leave Jimmy and Carrie's relationship?

Also, despite Miles' (Ayden Callaghan) objections and Nicola's (Nicola Wheeler) lack of enthusiasm, Donald (Michael Jayston) makes a triumphant entrance to the village. He drags his new wife to the Woolpack and ingratiates himself with the regulars. When Nicola finally drags him away she wastes no time in expressing her discontent to David (Matthew Wolfenden). Desperate to escape the personal hell she finds herself in, Nicola arranges a meeting with David only for Donald to suggest she gives him a bath. Can Nicola live a lie for long enough to land her loot?

Elsewhere, with Marlon (Mark Charnock) ill, Val (Charlie Hardwick) has no option but to cook the Woolpack meals thought up by her chef and Jonny (Richard Grieve). Presenting a quiche to Rodney (Patrick Mower) and Pollard (Chris Chittell) Val is embarrassed when they denounce her culinary skills. Val confronts Jonny and he says that her eyesight may be failing, pointing out a number of occasions she has misread things. Val is insulted and storms off, but is she blinded by pride?

    Friday 11 January 7pm

Pollard (Chris Chittell) is dismayed to discover that David (Matthew Wolfenden) has feelings for Nicola (Nicola Wheeler). Ignoring his father's warning not to pursue her, David visits Nicola who informs him that she'll play the happy wife for the time being. Wondering how far Nicola is willing to go, David is stunned when he realises she'll go to any lengths for Donald's (Michael Jayston) money.

Nicola goes as far as to say that she's only with David for the money and he ends their relationship. After clocking Nicola's jealousy when he flirts with Katie (Sammy Winward), David confronts her once more and both admit that they want each other not money. A kiss seals the deal but how will they conceal their affair from Donald?

At the Woolpack, Paul (Mathew Bose) and Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) sense something is wrong when Val's (Charlie Hardwick) sight problems affect her work. Jonny also latches on to what's wrong and under his intense questionning Val admits her fear that she'll be diagnosed with a brain tumour if she visits a doctor. He badgers her to see an optician but Val stands firm. Paul asks him if Val's behaviour is due to anxiety about them moving away. Jonny lies that it is, but with Paul having second thoughts about the move, has Jonny inadvertently shot himself in the foot?

Also, Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) gets suspicious of a text conversation between Daz (Luke Tittensor) and Scarlett (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) and soon learns of their relationship. She's put out to find them kissing in the café and snipes that Daz is only interested in Scarlett's money. Daz quickly gives her a ticking off and Victoria retreats. Will the new love birds be able to enjoy their relationship without further intimidation?
