Cool Emmerdale Spoilers 21st October -

Katie is moved when Gray confesses that he's uneasy about going to America to find a surrogate. After doing some internet research she stuns Chas by revealing she's considering offering to be their surrogate herself. Despite her friend's concern, Katie meets Gray and makes her pledge. He is thrilled and tries to keep his emotions in check by saying they must agree to talk things over with Perdy first of all. But is Katie's mind already made up?

Meanwhile, as Viv and the other villagers start gossiping about the after effects of the Sugden fire, the Sugdens themselves begin to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives. Will hope spring from the ashes of despair?

Elsewhere, David's plans with Jasmine are scuppered by an invalid Pollard. David eventually heads out and a friendless Pollard is surprised to find he can walk again. However, when Val turns up he reverts back to his wheelchair and allows her to pamper him. Is love in the air for the warring ex-beaus?

    22nd October

Katie sits down with Perdy and Gray and again offers to be a surrogate mother. After Perdy reacts badly, Katie leaves and worries she's made a mistake. However, Gray talks Perdy round and they agree to give Katie their approval. Chas again protests to Katie that her judgement is flawed but Katie retorts even more fiercely than before. Is Katie becoming blinded by her crush on Gray?

Elsewhere, Zak is confused when Sam embarks on a sudden moneymaking scheme. He eventually reveals that he's saving for a house of his own, an idea which baffles Zak and Lisa (Jane Cox). Sam faces a setback when he's refused a council house and so asks Pollard for a helping hand. Will Pollard fight the Dingles to help Sam achieve his dream home?

Also, with Pollard still confined to a wheelchair, Val is asked by David to help his dad attend a business meeting. Val is pleased to have attended when it turns out his client is a voluptuous woman and the green eyed monster takes over. Val sidelines Pollard by taking full control of the meeting and after seeing the client out of the door, Val spies Pollard getting out of his wheelchair. How will Val get her revenge?

    23rd October

Val tempts Pollard to come on a countryside picnic so they can be properly reacquainted. A randy Pollard wastes no time in trying to force the issue when they're alone together but Val manages to escape with his mobile phone, explaining that she's going to get champagne. When Val drives off, Pollard is rumbled and forced to walk home.

Back in the village, Val begins to reprimand Pollard, but he argues that his lies were a ruse to spend more time with her. Val softens and the warring couple decide to give it another go. But can the armistice last?

Meanwhile, Zak takes matters into his own hands and intimidates Pollard, forcing him to retract his offer to help Sam. A clueless Sam delights in telling Zak and Lisa that his "friend" Pollard is helping him out, but he's crushed when Pollard terminates the deal.

Sam smells a rat and finally Zak admits he threatened Pollard to stop him offering assistance. A furious Sam tells his dad that nothing will stop him leaving now, but can the single father stand alone?

Also, when Perdy arranges a meeting with a surrogacy rep, Chas begs Katie to back out before it's too late. However, Katie proceeds with the appointment and the volume of information and responsibility does nothing to shake her conviction. Has she made the right choice?

    24th October

Sam turns to Carl and asks to rent Dale View but Carl demands that Sam secure adequate financial backing before he agrees. Sam returns to Pollard and convinces him to be guarantor on the property.

Later, a guilty Zak apologises to Sam, only for Lisa to erupt and insist that Sam stays put. Zak is stunned by her outburst and convinces her to give Sam their blessing. How will the Dingles cope as Sam settles into an independent life?

Meanwhile, David is horrified to discover that his dad is back with Val. After Pollard defends Val to his son, she warns him that David will need to be controlled if their relationship is to succeed. On Val's suggestion, Pollard tells David that he'll remove him from his life if he tries to meddle in his relationship this time around. As word spreads in the village about their reconciliation, Pollard decides that the time is right to take Val on a mini-break.

Elsewhere, Ross' girlfriend Kirsty comes to visit and Marlon prays that they can make things work. He takes Donna out to give Ross some space and Donna admits she doesn't like Kirsty. When Ross breaks up with Kirsty, Donna abandons Marlon to comfort her friend. What will Marlon think of Donna and Ross' growing closeness?

    25th October

Sam decides to have a house-warming party at Dale View and wastes no time in inviting family, friends and even acquaintances. Emily worries when she discovers that Sam has gone beyond his budget and sneaks some money into his savings tin from her own pocket. As the party gets going, Lily and Doug take things too far and a window is smashed. When Zak and Lisa arrive they realise Sam is out of his depth, but Lisa stands her ground when Sam begs them to let him move back home. Is she finally ready to let go?

Elsewhere, Marlon is frustrated by his ongoing bedroom famine with Donna but unintentionally shares his tales of sexual frustration with the Woolpack regulars. At Sam's party, Marlon is desperate to leave early with Donna, but she is distracted when a lonely Ross arrives. A stray comment from Shadrach leads Donna to suspect Marlon's indiscretion and she banishes him to the spare room. Is Marlon back to square one in his marriage?

Also, Jasmine delights in seeing her fire article in the Hotten Courier and looks forward to the day when she can quit working for De Souza. Later, when David prepares to leave to meet Jasmine at Sam's party, Nicola turns on the waterworks, forcing him to stay and comfort her. Jasmine is left waiting and rails at David for pandering to Nicola. But can she do anything about Nicola's relentless pursuit of her boyfriend?

    26th October

Marlon apologises to Donna and she agrees to let him back into the bedroom. Not wanting to lose his chance, Marlon prepares a romantic meal for them, but Donna comes home late with Ross and the food goes cold.

Outside, Donna is clueless when she drunkenly falls into Ross' arms and doesn't react when he fixes her with a passionate stare. They head back into Tall Trees and Donna tries to make amends with Marlon. However, he discovers that she has been discussing their marriage with Ross and another argument brings the evening to a close.

Elsewhere, David agrees to accompany Jasmine to Debbie's 18th Birthday Party after abandoning her the previous night. When Nicola finds out, she demands that David go with her to a business meeting before spending the afternoon plying him with alcohol. He turns up late and dishevelled to the party and is met with mockery from Jasmine and Debbie. Will David ever wise up to Nicola's scheming?

Also, Sam gives Emily her money back after deciding to pay for the broken window himself. But while he's at work Lisa and Zak lend a helping hand and mend it themselves. Sam returns and insists that he'll pay Lisa for her time and ends up selling his chickens to raise the cash. How long will Sam be able to stretch himself financially?

Glad Sam is finally moving away from Lisa and Zak, how long will he last on his own though?

    Exclamation

I don't think Sam can cope by himself looking after Samson and Samson needs a mother figure in his life, poor mite, Sam should stay with Zak and Lisa as long as they have the space.

I thought that too. Emily and Sam would be very good together. They already have their friendship as a foundation.

But is friendship enough for a relationship without being in love as well? I think they went down that road before and decided that it would not work. Anyway, Emily fancies Bishop George, doesn't she?
