Anxious to prove she has maternal abilities, Steph agrees to baby-sit Tom and Charlie and collect Newt from school. Max is shocked when he discovers that Frankie told Steph she was not cut out to be a parent.
Finding Summer amusing and endearing, Nancy and Sarah think she could be a laugh to hang around with. Summer enquires about a local guy she is rather keen on, but they are left wondering what's up when Summer receives a visitor: her boyfriend James.
Tina plans a surprise party for Tony's 30th Birthday.

Tony is shocked as his ex's - Izzy, Julie and Tessie - arrive for the party. Thinking he's managed to avoid any trouble, Tony is relieved until Tessie drops a bombshell, which rocks Tony's world to its foundations.
Steph is hurt when she overhears Max explain to Jack how looking after Tom has come between their relationship.
Heartbroken by James's news that he is to leave for Afghanistan, Summer wants to ask him to stay but realises that if her career takes off, would she really have enough time for him?

Tony is both shocked and excited by the news that he has an eight-year-old son, but wonders what Jacqui will make of it.
Tony and Harry get along well and Tessie is agreeable to the idea of father and son meeting again, but Jacqui walks in on them just as Tony and Tessie are making their farewell hugs.
Tina is nervous about her job interview believing her lack of experience and family name will drag her down.
Rhys and Beth both receive a letter from the solicitor about Noel's will. Unable to concentrate, Rhys takes Gilly to the SU Bar, only to find that there is no escape from the object of both of their affections: Beth.

Tony apologises to Jacqui for not telling her that he has a son with Tessie.
Tony is overwhelmed by Jacqui's consideration as she asserts that if Harry is going to be a part of his life, then she also wants to be a part of it.
It's Tina's first day as a careers assistant and she's eager to get started. Tina is charmed when her boss, Pete Webster - the head teacher's son - takes her under his wing and treats her to lunch.
Neville complains about Rhys using the house as a cheap hotel just as Beth arrives to see him showing out his latest conquest.
Summer almost drops O.B. in it when she comes close to telling Max about last week's swimming accident. As Sarah chats to O.B. she realises where his affections lie and when Summer reveals she's just landed herself a job in MOBs, Sarah predicts interesting times ahead.
Friday, November 02
Tony is delighted to find that Jacqui has invited Tessie and Harry for tea. It gets awkward when Jacqui is left alone with Tessie and Harry and Tony dashes off to help Dom out. Jacqui later admits to Tony that him having a child is too hard for her, and that he has a decision to make: her or Harry. '
Gilly is gutted to find Beth is off limits when he asks Rhys if he can take her out. When Calvin makes a move on Beth, Rhys lashes out but Beth puts Rhys in his place and he's left looking the fool.
O.B. is overjoyed to discover Max has hired Summer to work in MOBs but makes clear to Calvin and Danny that she's out of bounds with a small white lie.
Tina and Pete arrange to have a drink so Pete can brief her on the rest of the staff. Tina gushes about how much she's enjoying her new career to her amused colleague and ignores her phone as Dom tries to contact her. Dom's had enough when Tina returns home and continues to whitter on about Pete.
