    Tuesday 8th May

It's a busy time for the team at Holby South, with Asbos a-plenty, mountains of paper work and a handful of new recruits to integrate. However, they remain committed to "shaping a safer Holby", even if their personal lives suffer as a result.
It's DS Luke French's first day, and DCI Harry Hutchinson wastes no time in introducing him to his new Inspector, DI John Keenan, whose passion for the job knows no bounds. After sizing up CID's newest member, John sets Luke straight to work on a case.
Garry Drake is fiercely possessive of his wife but, when he threatens to shoot her, the team brings him in. During the interview, Luke notices that Garry has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. As he seems to be getting nowhere fast, John decides to ruffle Garry's feathers by making a mess. However, being a man who likes to do things by the book, Luke soon learns how unconventional his new DI can be.
It is also probationer Lucy Slater's first day, although she makes a clumsy entrance to her first brief. The station's stern and organised Inspector, Jenny Black, partners her with PC Robert Clifton, a self-confessed God's gift to women, who is hugely disappointed and finds Lucy nothing but annoying.
Whilst they are on patrol, Lucy receives a call to arrest suspected paedophile Russell Bennett. Seeing him nearby, she is quick on his heels. Unable to pull Robert away from his latest conquest, and, despite it being her first arrest, Lucy goes it alone, but finds herself in a dangerous situation.
Elsewhere, after an eventful time bowling with his two kids, John takes them home to his estranged wife, Kate. Noticing a new car in his old driveway, and curious to know who the owner is, John questions Kate.

Drugs baron Neculai Stenga frightens his girlfriend, Louise, by unexpectedly and violently assaulting a prostitute, as HolbyBlue, the BBC's exciting new precinct drama, continues. Shocked and afraid, Louise reports the attack to the only police officer she can trust, her ex-boyfriend PC William Jackson. Agreeing to testify against Stenga, Louise is promised police protection in return for her statement.
Knowing Louise holds the key to his future freedom, Stenga arranges a hit on her by one of his henchmen, Steven Price. After distracting the officers protecting her, Price knocks Louise over, nearly killing her and only just missing her young daughter. Angry and frustrated at the danger Louise and her daughter were put in, William loses his head and, without authorisation or evidence, storms into Stenga's headquarters and "arrests" Price.
Meanwhile, excited about a prospective job at the station, Kate fancies a celebration and invites her ex, John, round for supper, and he readily accepts. However, complications are just around the corner when, unbeknown to Kate, he has double booked.
After a one-night stand with Rachel from CPS, John begins to regret hastily arranging a second date, especially as Rachel couldn't be keener. After being dropped by John, Rachel becomes suspicious of his paper-thin excuse. After finding out his real plans, she delights in sticking a "bitchy" spanner in the works...

    Episode 3
    Tuesday 22nd May

DS Luke French and his wife, Mandy, are devastated when their second attempt at IVF fails. In an effort to get away from it all, Luke arranges a weekend break for them both. However, when Luke's terminally ill mother calls for help, his loyalties are split and priorities called into question.
PC Neil Parker and partner PC Kelly Cooper, meanwhile, find a batch of stolen goods in a shed. Plagued by money problems, Kelly discovers an envelope of cash amongst the goods and finds herself in a quandary.
Elsewhere, PC Lucy Slater is tasked with helping Desk Sergeant Mac deal with a tense and agitated man called Martin. Unbeknown to Mac, Martin nabs a security pass, sneaks back into the station and, armed with a chisel, traps Lucy in the locker room. Alerted by the noise, Mac comes to investigate but, terrified at the prospect of such a crisis, falters, and Lucy gets stabbed.
Meanwhile, DI John Keenan is pumped up and determined to finally nail Stenga with a raid, after a suspect has informed the team that a shipment of crystal meth is about to arrive. Poised to storm the truck and confiscate its contents, the team discover they have been duped as the truck contains nothing but heart-shaped balloons.
With the plan foiled, and only a few people in the know about the raid, John has to consider the possibility of a leak within the station. The true identity of this mole is sure to have far-reaching consequences.
