Cool Bill Spoilers 2nd and 3rd MAy

    2nd MAy

Determined not to think about the bombshell that girlfriend, Met Press Officer, Mia Perry (Jo-Anne Knowles) dropped on him the night before, DC Mickey Webb (Chris Simmons) throws himself into a murder investigation with Trainee DC Kezia Walker (Cat Simmons). They investigate the death of a young woman who has been found drowned in a swimming pool after a party. Recently demoted Sergeant Phil Hunter, (Scott Maslen) and PC Diane Noble (Kaye Wragg) are first at the scene and hand over to Mickey and Kezia who are forced to visit the dead woman’s father, Tom Jackson (William Armstrong) to break the devastating news. Both detectives become increasingly frustrated as their chief suspect is the son of high court judge, who will do anything to get his son out of the situation.

Back at Sun Hill, DCI Jack Meadows (Simon Rouse) is stunned when he discovers that Mia slept with Superintendent John Heaton (Daniel Flynn), explaining Mickey’s bad mood. Jack warns her that there is no place for her in Sun Hill and when Mickey realises that Heaton was the man Mia slept with, Mickey punches him and after walking out of his office, starts packing his things before he is thrown out of the station. Can Jack save Mickey’s bacon?

Elsewhere, PC Emma Hinckley (Melanie Gutteridge) talks to PC Will Fletcher (Gary Lucy) about leaving Sun Hill to start a family with husband, CPS Lawyer, Matt Hinckley (Mark Dexter). Feeling guilty, Will tells her that Matt is taking her for a fool - Nina Lloyd (Cordelia Bugeja), Matt’s ex-girlfriend who he claimed was dead, is in fact, alive and Will takes a disbelieving Emma to see her. Distraught, Emma learns all about Matt’s psychological bullying from Nina who breaks down in tears.

Later at home, Emma confronts Matt about Nina. She admits she knows the truth and is fed up with his lies. Emma says Nina is an emotional wreck because of his constant psychological abuse and she doesn’t want to end up in the same state. A desperate Matt demands she listen to him and pushes her to the floor. Tears well up in Emma’s eyes as Matt’s grip around her throat becomes tighter and she struggles for breath. He uses his body to hold her down and after clawing at Matt’s face, Emma uses the last of her energy to hit him over the head with a vodka bottle. Emma’s life crashes around her as Will and Sergeant Smithy (Alex Walkinshaw) fight their way into the flat and are horrified to discover her husband lying lifeless on the floor…

    3rd May

As frightened PC Emma Hinckley (Melanie Gutteridge) wakes up in a Sun Hill cell after her terrifying fight with husband, Matt Hinckley (Mark Dexter) the night before. Superintendent Heaton (Daniel Flynn) briefs Inspector Gina Gold (Roberta Taylor) and DC Jo Masters (Sally Rogers) about the incident. Meanwhile, in St Hugh’s Hospital, Matt comes round and tells Gina and Jo that Emma was in a jealous rage and hit him. Matt tells the shocked officers that Emma deliberately tried to kill him. In the interview room, things look bleak for Emma as she faces an attempted murder charge. PC Will Fletcher (Gary Lucy) is horrified when PC Lewis Hardy (Aml Ameen) tells him that Matt wants to press charges. He tries to reassure Emma and tells her he’ll do whatever it takes to protect her innocence. After discovering that it was Matt’s ex-girlfriend, Nina Lloyd (Cordelia Bugeja) who called 999, Will endeavours to track her down in order to convince her to help them trap Matt by getting him to bully her on tape. She soon agrees and waits in an interview room but is petrified when Matt turns up and joins her. What could Matt do to change her mind?

Meanwhile, DI Neil Manson (Andrew Lancel) briefs the team on a planned raid on a crack house. During the raid, PC Dan Casper (Chris Jarvis) is taken hostage by crack addict, Josie Clarke (Holly Matthews). Feeling sorry for Josie and despite his instincts, Dan tries to help her by getting her onto a rehabilitation programme. Convinced she really does want to get clean, he lends her money but, his faith is betrayed when she is found overdosed on drugs, paid for with his money.

Elsewhere, Lewis and PC Roger Valentine (John Bowler) go on a mission in search of Errol Fraser (Ortis Deeley), a dealer who is controlling the crack-house. They use the help of a local young lad who works as Fraser’s ‘spotter’ to net a good result.

Looks to be another good week.

Dear dear, Mickey. Nothing to be gained from punching the Super Hope he doesn't get suspended/sacked.

Emma/Matt - didn't see that coming. Seriously, would they really believe Emma would try to kill Matt? Hope they don't believe Matt's lies.
