Sam and Elliot have a misunderstanding over a patient.

Meanwhile, Jac makes Diane suspicious but Jac's affair leaves her in a very different position than she first thought.

Elsewhere, Thandie has difficulties being confirmed in her post and Diane gets caught up in Chris Jaques's case.

Sam arrives in the car park and sees a young girl teetering towards AAU. He pulls in alongside to talk to her, but Jade is drunk and as he winds his window down to talk to her, she throws up onto the passenger seat, and hurries off into Holby. Later, she refuses to give details of what happened to her face and tells him she doesn’t want him there.

Meanwhile, Jac is convinced that events at the hotel means that Lord Byrne will back her professionally, but her attempts to talk to Lord Byrne are thwarted by Joseph interrupting. She tries to talk to Lord Byrne, but he snubs her. Diane sees Jac and Lord Byrne and doesn’t know what to think. Jac asks Lord Byrne to back her up over a case, but he doesn’t.
