Paul's Dark Secret

On The Itv Website it tells us that Paul Connor has a dark secret which soon one of his family members discovers.

and looks like it will destroy his whole world and the Connor family. Maybe even Paul himself who could end up a broken man...

I think that it will be Liam who will find out first and then blab to Carla.

The secret: I think will definitely be to do with Ryan's dad. The car crash which killed his father and the love of Michelle's life was mentioned a couple of weeks ago by Carla to Paul at one of the Connor's Sunday family get togethers and Paul looked a bit uneasy.

So my theory is that
either Paul was responsible in some way for the car crash which killed him, i.e he accidentally and unknowingly sold him a dodgy car.

It wasn't a car crash at all. Paul and Ryan's dad had an argument which resulted in his death but it was an accident and Paul made it look like he died in a car crash to cover himself.

or it could be something more sinister like Paul killed him because he found out something about Ryan's father which would hurt Michelle and he did this to protect her and possibly Ryan as well..

Whatever happened this is going to be a fantastic storyline.

So what do you all think the secret is?

i like the idea that it'a aomething to do with the car crash, hopefully nothing too sinister though, like Paul accidently caused the crash after a row. nothing too murderous.
and its also a deep dark secret coming out is a nice easy way of writing him out!

We are only just finding out about Paul and so far we have seen that he is loving, caring etc etc and he does have a ruthless side to his nature with regards to business. However I like the idea that he has a dark side to his character but I don't think that he would be capable of killing anyone, only in self defense or aciidentally or if Michelle was in danger.
Maybe Ryan's father did something "sinister" to Ryan and Paul found out an argument/fight broke out and Ryan's dad was killed so Paul put him in a car to make it look like an accident.. I wouldn't mind something like this either or like yourself Paul being responsible for the crash...

I think what would follow and could be his exit would probably be rejection by his family, Liam/Michelle/Carla/Ryan, maybe even guilt, all of which would eventually break him totally, too much for him to cope with and he'd end up having a heart attack or he'll end up taking his own life, Paul's family is everything to him.

He's definitely going to be killed off in the factory but you could be right about it being connected to his secret

Having thought further about Paul's exit, I now think that it could be a seperate storyline which comes after the "Dark Secret". Maybe Paul and his family sort things out after his dark secret is revealed then tragedy strikes and Paul is killed hopefully accidentally.

Depending on when the secret stroyline is due to be aired, I suspect that this one has been all scripted and possibly filmed already and therefore hopefully the Paul will have another big storyline for his exit. Maybe Carla will unintentionally be responsible for her husband's death or Ryan even???

Having heard the rumours that Sonny is cheating on their little sister Michelle with gay Sean, Liam and brother Paul decide to interrogate him.

‘OK, so I’ve flirted with Sonny,’ Sean finally admits. ‘Big deal. I’ve flirted with you, but we’re ’ardly joinin’ the Village People together, are we?’

But Paul isn’t happy with Sean’s excuses. ‘I mean,’ he stutters, ‘’ow am I supposed to put it? Is ’e a poof or what?’

‘Are you tryin’ to be offensive?’ Sean gasps – which is a little pot, kettle and black considering what he eventually admits they have been up to.

Apart from the occasional very un-PC blip on the gaydar to make it real, this sensational story isn’t about sexuality but trust. And Michelle is furious that Sonny has betrayed her.

‘Why couldn’t I be enough for you?’ she bitterly asks Sonny after Sean reveals her fiance is a bisexual love cheat. ‘Silly question, really. For starters, I’m only a woman…’

Even with all her hurt and humiliation, there is far worse to come when she finishes with Sonny on Monday.

For believing that he’s the cause of the split, Michelle’s teenage son Ryan goes to see Sonny on Friday. But he’s so shocked to find Sean at the house, he suddenly realises what’s been going on and steals Sonny’s sports car.

Even though his dad died in a car crash with Paul, Ryan’s uncle goes uncharacteristically berserk and lashes out at him when he’s caught by the cops.

‘Don’t stick up for him,’ Paul snarls at Michelle. ‘He was joy-ridin’… What’s he gunna do next time? Kill someone?’

Now why should a guilty-looking Paul think that?

Now if that doesn't suggest Paul has killed someone whilst driving then i don't know what does. I also think it's Ryan's dad he killed as he is very protective over him and maybe he feels that he is making up for what he had done wrong by being there for Ryan and giving him things he wants.

This sort of confirms my original thought that Paul's dark secret is to do with Ryan's dad. Sounds like the two of them were joyriding and Paul maybe was the driver or Ryan's dad. Paul survived but Ryan's dad died and Paul has been carrying this guilt around with him for a while.

I think that Paul also has another dark secret to do with Leanne. I reckon that he has been having "Paid" sex with her as many businessmen do, or maybe Leanne is an "Escort" (Classier Prostitute) and Paul has been paying her to accompany him say to a Casino, where they may of met and after a few games, drinks etc they concluded the "Business deal" by going to bed together and he has been doing this on a regular basis. This would be a real shocker as we see Paul as a loving, loyal and devoted husband. Ye sI believe the Paul has a few dark sekletons in his closet.

I love it that the character has a dark side.

Really looking forward to the big storylines coming up.
