    Cool The Morton Family

    Name: Jerry Morton (Michael Starke)
    Age: mid-40s
Profile: A single dad fighting for his family, Jerry's a working-class man and has relied on eldest daughter, Jodie, to lend a hand with the kids since their mum, Teresa, left. He’s not afraid of hard work and always has a few bob, although he’s not adverse to pocketing a few quid that the tax man doesn’t know about. Jerry’s a proud man with an earthy manner and dotes on his kids. He can charm the birds from the trees, as Gail and Claire quickly find out - but you’d know about it if you crossed him...

    Name: Jodie Morton (Samantha Seager)
    Age: 28
Profile: Jodie's something of a mother figure to the other kids and is Jerry’s right hand ‘man’. As Jason’s already discovered, Jodie’s feisty and nobody’s fool. With no fella on the scene, Dev’s already tried his luck but she’s hard nut to crack and it will take one tough cookie to take her on.

    Name: Darryl Morton (Jonathan Dixon)
    Age: 18
Profile: Darryl soon becomes the neighbour from hell with his belief that life is for living not working. He's work-shy and has no interest in fast food; other than Donnas - or Karens, or Debbies. If he doesn’t have to do it, he doesn’t. But underneath the bravado, he’s not a bad lad; although he does like to skirt on the edge of the law, something which may appeal to bored teens David and Rosie.

    Name: Mel Morton (Emma Edmondson)
    Age: 18
Profile: Mel is Darryl’s twin sister, but the two are poles apart. She's the reserved one of the family, a thinker who is planning her own future - and it certainly doesn’t involve fast food, fast cars or fast money. But despite her quiet manner, she's a Morton which makes her determined, independent and means she knows how to enjoy herself.

    Name: Kayleigh Morton (Jessica Barden)
    Age: 12
Profile: Street-smart and head-strong, Kayleigh’s no brat but she does have a voice and thinks it deserves to be heard. Missing her younger half-brother Finlay (who still lives with mum Teresa), Kayleigh finds life on the Street hard, but with her beloved Grandad in tow, the innocent-looking pair have a few tried and tested scams for when the going gets tough.

    Name: Grandad Morton (Rodney Litchfield)
    Age: Old
Profile: He's a man of few words and at his happiest when he's in the pub with a pint in-hand. But Jerry’s dad is an old rogue, an ex con and about as far from a cuddly old man as you can get. He still has an eye for a way to make a quick few quid and with his colourful past, he’s clearly helped mould his family.

Sounds like these are going to be great addition to the street, really looking forward to them joining. We have seen what Jodie is like already and hope she carries on like this.

In case there are any Grange Hill Fans out there, Darryl plays Mooey in the current series.

Also you see them arrive on March the 18th.

they look like they will fit into the street, i saw a picture in a magazine. I think its good how we are slowly being introduced to the family, rather than them all ariving at once.
