    Corrie Xmas Spoilers

Coronation Street viewers are in for a real cracker of a Christmas with shocks galore in Weatherfield.

The fun begins at the Platt household as Gail (Helen Worth) and Sally Webster (Sally Whittaker) battle it out to be the hostess-with-the-mostess at a joint Christmas dinner for both families.

David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) discovers a diary which tells how Gail planned to abort him and there are sure to be fireworks as he reveals the contents at the meal.

The tension rises further in the ITV1 soap when Maureen (Sherrie Hewson) arrives announced unaware that husband Bill Webster (Peter Armitage) has shacked up with Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls).

Neither is it a merry season for the Battersbys following revelations by Cilla (Wendi Peters) that her cancer is terminal.

Husband Les (Bruce Jones) sets about fundraising for Cilla's dream fund by joining Yana Lumb (Jayne Tunnicliffe) in a bath of mushy peas on Christmas Eve.

Meanwhile, Frankie Baldwin (Debra Stephenson) and Jamie Baldwin (Rupert Hill) are lying low as they plan their New Year escape to Spain.

But their scheme is put in doubt when a body is found.

    Don't worry, it's not Danny!

He will be back at some point (as assume) later in 2007.

In inside soap it refers to David as the Grinch.
The other big storylins for corrie at christmas is Jason becoming a dad.

I am really looking forward to the Christmas Day episode - Coronation Street always delivers a...shall we say...life-affirming Christmas!

There will be shocks, but it certainly won't be doom and gloom.

I am looking forward to seeing Gail & Sally at loggerheads over who will present the best Christmas Dinner. (Does anyone remember when baby Billy died and Sally brought a cake...ahem...a roulade...over to the Platts' for the wake?) I love snobby-Sally!

Of course David wraps up Ivy's diary for Gail so the reactions of the people at the party will be good to watch!

And Maureen will be back, which I am REALLY looking forward to seeing!

Other bits and bobs too will make it a great episode, notably Baby Grimshaw!

Im looking forward to Corrie to provide just the right balance of Humour and Drama. Christmas Dinner with the Platts and websters should be a fun-filled occasion with each trying to outdo the other. No doubt the Battersby-Browns will provide their usual dose of Festive Fun.
