    'Pistol Packin' Papa'
Airs Tuesday, December 5 2006 at 17:35 UTC on BBC One

Paul returns from Cameron’s funeral and convinces a worried Lyn that he’s fine; he’s even seemingly forgiven Max. What Lyn doesn’t realise is that Paul is battling a strong desire for revenge on Max and, worst of all, now owns a gun! It’s only when Lyn finds Paul’s letter to Elle promising to make Max pay that she comprehends the true extent of Paul’s torment. But with Paul already following Max in the shadowy night, is Lyn too late to prevent another tragedy?

Consumed by guilt, Max makes an impulsive decision to sell the family car. This worries Steph and she confides her concerns to Toadie who advises her to be patient. But when Max busies himself with extreme acts of neighbourly kindness, Toadie realises that Steph may have real cause for worry.

Janae is shocked that Boyd is prepared to let innocent Katya go down for a crime she hasn’t committed. She decides to confess all to the police but nobly protects Boyd by claiming that she put the drugs in Katya’s bag. Janae makes Boyd realise that he’s angry with Max, not Katya, but when Katya learns the truth, both Janae and Boyd incur Katya’s wrath.

When Loris tries to trick Ned into being her toy boy, Ned proves he’s not just a pretty face and plays Loris at her own game.

    'Lynnie Get Your Gun'
Airs Wednesday, December 6 2006 at 17:35 UTC on BBC One

Even with the threat of being shot, Max doesn’t falter, offering Paul nothing but understanding. Overwhelmed, Paul breaks down when he realises no revenge will ever bring his dead son back. Lyn remains practical and cool throughout – until caught by Izzy disposing of the gun. Suddenly all Izzy’s predictions of the levels Lyn would sink to in hooking up with Paul come true. Angry Lyn gives Paul the dose of reality he needs; if Paul doesn’t shape up and get help, he’ll be spitting on the memory of his son.

Relieved to discover her husband unharmed after the initial scare, Steph is soon crushed to realise Max is a former shell of himself. He lied to her about his meeting with Paul and he’s distant with his wife and son. Requesting Max find inner-strength for his own sake and his family’s, Steph’s saddened to hear Max needs time alone. Airing her grievances to Toadie, an upset Steph wonders who her husband has become.

Due to Izzy’s continued ‘goodwill’ spree and her request for help sorting her legal affairs, Toadie believes Izzy may be dying. Carmella shares a similar view and confronts Izzy, only to be met with ‘anger’ and ‘disbelief’ that it would take something so severe for Izzy to actually be nice! Once Carmella leaves, however, Izzy doubles over in immense pain.

Ned finds out from Toadie that Ms Beaumont is in fact Loris Timmins. Confronting Loris, he finds out she wants to reconnect with her grandchildren. But steely Toadie advises her not to play any games that will hurt them.

So what's wrong with Izzy then? I thought she was pregnant, but didn't realise, as she doesn't think she can get pregnant, now I'm just confused?

Max’s angst continues, and when he’s arrested for manslaughter, he declines a lawyer - Izzy has to bail him out. He crumbles, revealing some of his inner turmoil to her. After a breakthrough with his shrink, Paul is able to genuinely forgive Max. Does this mean that Max won't go down for manslaughter?

Izzy is pregnant with Karl's child that is why we only hear things like her condition will continue as the writers are trying to make us and all the residents of ramsay street think that she is dying its only when susan answers a phone call about her ultra sound that it is confirmed that she is pregnant.
