    spoilers 26th - 1st

    Nov 26

Horrified at the extent of Jamie’s injuries, Frankie is lying low at number 6. Scared by the strength of Danny’s reaction, she’s initially frightened when he catches up with her in the yard. But her fear turns to disgust as Danny implies they’re quits now; she’s hurt him back and they can start again. Frankie’s stunned but as the day goes on she realises she needs to talk to Danny. Have his words hit home?

Elsewhere, Les is disappointed when Cilla tells him she’s not in the mood to celebrate their anniversary. He confides in Yana that he thinks Cilla’s having an affair. She’s not convinced but suggests a big romantic gesture could be just what Cilla needs. Les takes Yana’s advice and a romantic meal ‘Battersby style’ is prepared. How will Cilla react?

Tracy ups her games as she feigns illness to Charlie then arouses Claire’s suspicions by keeping the curtains drawn. Charlie’s insistent that she’s not well but Tracy’s got Claire hooked and she asks Bev to keep a lookout.

And Vera’s less than impressed to find Becky working with her at the café. When she then ‘finds’ a tenner under the fridge, Vera isn’t fooled and she can’t wait to fill Hayley in. Has Becky let Hayley down again?

As Cilla leaves for another shopping trip, Les is now more convinced than ever that she’s up to something. Yana’s finally prepared to listen and visiting Les with a fish and chip supper she supports his fears. But as the pair begins to drown their sorrows, both upset by Cilla’s seeming betrayal, Cilla enters a hospital. When the doctor suggests she sit down Cilla’s face says it all as she prepares for the news she has been dreading.

Hollow-eyed and unshaven, Danny sits alone unable to face the prospect of going to work. Frankie tells Jamie she’s sure Danny will come out of this smelling of roses as usual. But her betrayal has hit Danny hard and as he drives to a secluded viaduct dark thoughts crowd his mind. What is Danny thinking?

Hayley’s reluctant to leave Becky alone at the café but when Frankie calls in sick she has no choice. Becky’s out to prove herself and moves into whirlwind efficiency mode. But how will she react when Slug comes in looking for one of his freebies?

Elsewhere, Jason tries to make a proper date with Sarah, and Norris isn’t happy to find a graffiti artist has been at work outside the Kabin.

Cilla sits in shock as the doctor tells her she has skin cancer and will need an operation as soon as possible. Pulling on all her strength Cilla makes her way back to the street to talk to her family but before she can speak she’s confronted by Les and Yana who are united as they accuse her of having an affair. Cilla’s stunned as Les tells her to leave. With nowhere to go, she makes her way to Fiz’s, but having encountered her lies so many times before will her daughter be prepared to listen?

After more soul searching at the viaduct, Danny finally puts dark thoughts aside and returns to the street. Back at the factory, Liam demands to know where he’s been. Under pressure, Danny tells Liam that Frankie has left him but it’s not until Liam leaves that Danny finally breaks down.

Elsewhere, Claire’s growing increasingly concerned for Tracy and sends a note asking her to go for a drink. Realising she can use this to her advantage, Tracy insists Charlie goes to the pub alone and tells Claire she doesn’t feel up to it. Charlie passes on the message but it only serves to fuel Claire’s suspicion about Charlie keeping her locked up.

And Jason steps up his pursuit of Sarah with flowers on the doorstep. Is he beginning to win her round?

Danny and Frankie’s split is the talk of the street and as Danny tries to hide his true feelings, Liam’s concerned that he isn’t coping. He isn’t and as night falls Danny makes his way back to the viaduct where he drains the dregs from a bottle of whiskey before watching it fall. Will Danny be next?

Cilla gets a call from the hospital to say they can fit her in today. She’s adamant she’ll go alone but once there Cilla’s suddenly scared and her relief is obvious as Fiz arrives to support her. Meanwhile, back at the Battersbys, Les is seeking comfort from Yana and when she makes her move he’s quick to give in. Chesney’s disgusted to find the pair half undressed and Les’ guilt is intensified when Fiz arrives to announce Cilla has cancer. The news hits hard and as he realises what he’s done how will Les react?

Tracy continues to play Claire and when she fakes the sound of sobbing she can hardly hold back her laughter as she hears Claire rush from next door and start frantically knocking on her door.

And Norris sets up a night vigil determined to catch the Kabin graffiti artist.

    December 1

Danny’s still struggling as he prepares for another night alone. With the TV on and the toast in the toaster, he realises this is not the way life should be. Grabbing his keys he leaves instantly and when Jamie returns home Danny’s there waiting on the street. He orders Jamie into the car and while Frankie tries to stop them Danny’s mood is compelling and Jamie finds himself getting in. As he picks up speed Danny’s driving dangerously fast. It feels like someone’s going to die, but will it be father or son?

Back on the street, the Underworld Christmas party is kicking off with its usual high jinx when the glamorous Carla appears with Champagne, announcing she’s Paul’s wife. It’s news to the girls and they take an instant dislike to Carla who acts like she’s in charge.

Elsewhere, the Battersbys are struggling to come to terms with the news of Cilla’s cancer. For Les the guilt is unbearable and catching Yana alone he tells her their liaison was a one off and Cilla must never know. But their conversation is overheard by Chesney. With his worst fears confirmed, will he go straight to his mum?

And Charlie’s had enough of Claire’s suspicious questions about Tracy’s whereabouts. Back at home he tackles Tracy, demanding to know what she’s playing at. Is Tracy’s game up?

Danny doesn’t stop the car till they arrive at the viaduct. Ordering Jamie out Danny tells him if anyone is going to die tonight it will be him. Jamie’s horrified as Danny stands perilously close to the edge and asks Jamie to choose; he either gives up Frankie or he’ll jump. Jamie refuses and when Danny asks him to join him on the edge, the pair embark on a dangerous game which one of them won’t come back from. Is this the end for Danny?

Back in Weatherfield the factory staff have moved to the Italian restaurant and Carla’s revealing her true colours as she lords it over everyone. It’s clear she sees herself as not only their boss but Paul’s, and there’s a sense he’d prefer to keep his wife well away from his business.

And Norris is accused of being a peeping tom as he tries out his night vision goggles, his latest tool in his bid to catch the graffiti culprit.

Sounds like a good week..i am gonna feel so sorry for Cilla throughout all this, but i am glad Wendi Peters is given some serious material to handle with this cancer storyline, instead of some comedy storylines. The Tracy stuff sounds great as usual, i love the way she is playing Claire and making out that she is being treated badly by Charlie like Shelley was.

The Framie storyline sounds like it's reaching a great climax too, can't wait to watch the outcome!
