sunday 19th
Delighted by Frankie’s decision to chose him over Danny, a buoyant Jamie revels in the thought of him and his step mum finally being a couple. Sean calls round to see Jamie and is horrified to learn that Jamie and Frankie have slept together.

As Sean outlines to Jamie the reason why this relationship is wrong they are joined by Frankie, and Sean wastes no time in telling the pair that they should be ashamed of themselves. Having said his piece Sean exits leaving Frankie worrying whether the camp machinist will keep their secret. Jamie reassures her that Sean will keep his council.

A more pressing matter for the pair to worry about is coming clean to Danny, who is still blissfully unaware of the bombshell that Jamie and Frankie are about to drop on him. Frankie assures Jamie she is going to tell Danny tonight but when it comes to the crunch, will she have the courage to break the factory bosses all over again?

Meanwhile, over at Roy’s Rolls, when a gobby Les cheekily asks Roy why it’s taking him so long to serve his breakfast, Becky (Katherine Kelly) leaps to the cafe owner’s defence and gives Les a sharp clip round the ear. An indignant Les makes a sharp exit leaving Roy and Hayley to wonder whether allowing Becky to work in the cafe is a good idea.

Elsewhere, when Cilla offers to take the whole family out for a meal a suspicious Fiz questions her scheming mum’s motives and, unaware of Cilla’s recent diagnosis, accuses her of having an affair. How will Cilla react to her daughter’s false allegations?

Also, Jason is thrilled when he and Sarah spend some quality time talking together, and Claire confides in Bev her concerns for Tracy, who she believes is genuinely scared of boyfriend Charlie.

Monday 20th
An anxious Jamie makes an early morning phone call to Frankie and quickly surmises that she hasn’t told Danny about their affair yet. Danny is pulling out all the stops to make Frankie happy, despite his fiancee having suggested last night that they cool things off between them. The factory boss has told Frankie that he’ll slow things down and won’t rush her. Frankie is in despair; she wants Jamie but can’t bring herself to find the right time to break the news to Danny.

Jamie, meanwhile, is like a man possessed, desperate for Frankie to reveal all to the father he so despises. When the pair meet up in the Rovers at lunch, he once again persuades Frankie that they must spill the beans soon as it is the only way they can be together properly. The pair make plans to face Danny together later that evening and reveal all about their secret relationship.

Over at Roy’s Rolls, Becky is feeling frozen out by Vera’s icy treatment of her and her day doesn’t get any better when Kelly arrives to place the factory girls’ lunch order. It’s not long before the pair are making snide jibes at one another. Their catty exchange continues with Kelly insinuating that her old friend and colleague is not to be trusted. So, it’s with the leggy machinist’s accusations still ringing in her ears that the so called reformed Becky deftly slips a fiver into her apron, going unnoticed by Vera and the other customers. Is the ex- thief reverting to type?

Elsewhere, in the Battersby-Brown household, Cilla appears to have turned over a new leaf when she prepares Chesney bacon butties for his breakfast. It’s just a shame her timing was wrong and her son had already left for school. Fiz however, is still wary of her mother’s recent behaviour and even Chesney confides in his sister that he believes that their wayward mother is hiding something from them.

Also, the factory girls plan their Christmas Party despite Danny acting like Ebenezer Scrooge as he refuses to fund anything too lavish, and Tracy continues to tell Claire how Charlie rules the roost in their relationship, leading Claire to believe that the bullyboy builder has ruled out the prospect of Tracy having anymore children and is very controlling.

Frankie and Jamie nervously enter Danny’s flat, knowing what they are about to do won’t be easy but holding resolute that it has to be done. The confused lovers awkwardly begin to speak when Danny takes them by surprise by announcing he’s got a secret of his own and gleefully beckons footballer son Warren in from the bedroom.

Jamie and Frankie are wrong footed by Warren’s unannounced appearance and are forced to listen as Danny and Warren excitedly inform them of the talented youngster’s impending transfer back to an English club. Frankie and Jamie squirm as Danny proposes a celebratory meal out. It’s a ghastly charade for Frankie as Danny relishes having his family by his side.

Still determined to come clean, Jamie wants to use the opportunity to tell Warren as well but Frankie can’t do it and as the harsh reality of their situation sets in, her resolve to make a go of it with Jamie begins to crumble. Will Jamie and Frankie go through with their plans or has the opportunity been missed? Perhaps forever?

Elsewhere, still feeling marginalized at the café and having no friends in the street, Becky once again helps herself to another fiver from Roy’s Rolls’ till. A suspicious Vera has an idea that Becky is pilfering and voices her concerns to a disappointed Hayley. Ever the optimist, the café owner is prepared to give her new employee the benefit of the doubt but after witnessing another aggressive outburst from Becky in the Rovers, is Hayley beginning to rue her decision to give Becky a chance?

Meanwhile, after Danny’s refusal to stump up the cash for the Underworld Christmas party, Liam finds a novel way of settling the argument. He suggests a darts match, machinists versus management. If the girls win then Danny and Liam will foot the bill for a Christmas bash. Is Liam hiding a secret skill? Will he get cocky on the oche?

Also, Chesney confides in Les that he believes Cilla is having an affair and Tracy arranges a girls’ night out with Claire as she continues to play for sympathy

Wednesday 22nd
With Warren’s visit almost at an end, Jamie begs Frankie to think of their happiness and put them first. She has been thrown by seeing her son and isn’t sure she can go through with the affair any more. However Jamie’s persuasive powers convince her to throw common sense out of the window and go for it. But Danny is on his way back with a chip supper for him and Frankie – and is shocked by what he discovers.

Les is still concerned by Cilla’s behaviour and Fiz admits that her mother is acting strangely but insists there could be an innocent explanation. Les is not convinced and infuriates Cilla by following her all day. When she later tells him that she is going out with Yana he is more suspicious than ever.

The darts game is under way at the pub with the girls determined to win the Christmas party wager. Michelle is reluctantly persuaded to represent the Connors and it looks as if the match is neck and neck until Janice steps forward…

Sarah and Jason have had a fun night out but she is still determined to make him work for her affection, and with a quick peck on the cheek she leaves him wanting more.

Elsewhere, Eileen is surprised to discover that the vicar is happy to baptise her so she can be Freddie’s godmother!

Friday 24th
Danny is in a state of shock after the previous evening’s stunning discovery. He can’t make sense of anything and when Jamie and Frankie arrive to collect the rest of her things, he is furious. He insists that their affair is just a way of them getting back at him. But when they tell him that they are in love the red mist descends and he chases them out of the flat out onto the quayside. He lets fly at Jamie and a vicious fight ensues with the brawling pair ending up on the canal. With a hysterical Frankie screaming from the water’s edge Danny gets the better of his son – has he killed him?

Back at the factory everyone is oblivious to the drama unfolding a few miles away. The workers are flushed with their triumphant darts success and Liam is starting to regret making the bet in the first place.

Tracy is still playing her mind games with Claire, and having set up a ‘night out’ with her neighbour she cries off making what sounds like a lame excuse. Claire is falling for the ruse hook line and sinker and thinks that Charlie has put a stop to the evening out.

Rita is back from her ill-fated trip to Hungary but is still in no mood to forgive Norris. Having anticipated her animosity, Norris has bought her a very practical welcome home gift – will it do the trick?

Elsewhere, Hayley is still concerned about Becky’s continuing friendship with Slug.
