In a flash, a tender moment of grief turns into a right old East End slanging match as mourners gather to say farewell to Pauline Fowler.
The moving scenes shot yesterday show the tough Albert Square matriarch laid to rest surrounded by her nearest and dearest.
Pauline's nephew Ian Beale is beside himself with grief.

The trouble kicks off when officers approach Martin.
One source said: "The police are trying to talk to him as he says his final farewell to his mum.
"He isn't happy about it and a huge row ensues as he tries to get them to leave him alone in his time of grief."
The circumstances of Pauline's death, to be shown on Christmas Day, are still a mystery.
But it is known that she is involved in a house fire and pretends to have a brain tumour. The source said: "Pauline hatches a plan to stop Martin's reunion with his ex-wife Sonia but it backfires."
Wendy Richard, 63, who has played Pauline since the BBC1 soap launched in 1985, decided to quit earlier this year.
