sunday 5th

A worried Tom urges Edna to confide in him and she confesses that Peter is not her son, but her sister Lily’s. Edna confesses she refused to give Peter back to Lily when he was five and admits she never got close to Peter in case he was taken away from her. Tom tries to convince her to speak to Lily but will Edna listen to her friend?

Meanwhile, outraged over the closure of the Post Office, Len starts a petition for it to be re-opened. He manages to recruit a few protesters including members of the press. Will Viv bow to the pressure and re-open the Post Office?

Elsewhere, Hari continues to have problems with his leg. He refuses to have time off work and takes veterinary pain killers before heading off on his date with Louise. Could this be a recipe for disaster?

Monday 6th

Tom plays peacemaker and forces Edna and Lily to talk to each other. Lily berates Edna for not letting her have Peter back, especially as she was unable to have anymore children. Will a guilt-ridden Edna be forced to tell Peter the truth?

Elsewhere, Steph is in high spirits after meeting with her solicitor, still confident she’ll get off. Turner is less optimistic, worried what the media will make of the trial and how his daughter will cope.

Meanwhile, Jamie’s illegal meat suppliers give Marlon pork instead of veal, ruining his veal stew that he’s prepared for the Gastronomic Society lunch. Marlon tries to serve the stew with pork but Val becomes suspicious when they begin to get complaints. Will Marlon be forced to come clean about his dodgy dealings?


Tuesday 7th

It’s the day of Steph’s trial and Turner is worried to hear from a journalist that the prosecution have something up their sleeves. The trial begins well for Steph but she gets a shock when it is announced that a new witness has come forward.

Meanwhile, Rosemary is irritated by the relationship that has developed between Edna and Tom since their trip away. Rosemary pushes Tom for details about his trip with Edna and teases him about their relationship, but Tom warns her to back off. Has Tom fallen for Edna?

Elsewhere, Donna decides to use some savings to take Marlon away to a hotel in Leeds to try and cheer him up. As they are about to leave, Lilith turns up on the doorstep with her four kids. Will Marlon and Donna have to cancel their romantic trip away?

wednesday 8th

Steph is nervous when Adam takes to the stand. He is the picture of serenity until Steph’s solicitor tells the court that he practised without a license after being struck off. Rattled, Adam plays his ace card saying another witness can confirm Steph confessed to killing Terrence. Will this new witness seal Steph’s fate?

Elsewhere, feeling guilty about the previous day, Tom invites Rosemary round for a romantic dinner. She knocks him back but Tom goes ahead and arranges the dinner anyway. Can Tom talk her round?

Meanwhile, Marlon and Donna are horrified when the kids come down with chicken pox. Marlon begs Val to let them stay, as they need to be in quarantine for seven days.

Thursday 9th

Steph is anxious as a nervous Isla takes the stand. The court is stunned when Isla claims that Steph admitted to her that she killed Terence. Things don’t look good for Steph but Isla breaks under questioning from Steph’s solicitor and admits she’s lying. Is Steph off the hook?

Rosemary has stayed overnight at Home Farm but when Chas bumps into her raiding the fridge she claims she just started work early. Chas isn’t convinced as Rosemary is wearing no shoes and has more than enough food for one person. Will Rosemary be forced to come clean about her relationship with Tom?

Confined to the Woolpack backroom, Donna and Marlon struggle to entertain the kids. Toni suggests they throw a chicken pox party to cheer them and the kids up

Friday 10th

The police ask Turner to identify Shelly’s suitcase and belongings. He is adamant that they have no proof Shelly is dead but they tell him her bank account hasn’t been touched for 18 months. Horrified, Turner emotionally asks Steph if she killed Shelly. Will Steph confess to Shelly’s murder and return to court to face her verdict or take matters into her own hands in her quest for freedom?

Elsewhere, Marlon and Donna’s chicken pox party is a big success. Exhausted they crash out on the sofa and Donna suggests it won’t be long until they have children of their own. Is this Marlon’s dream or his worst nightmare?

Meanwhile, Edna tells Rosemary they should try to get along for Tom’s sake and invites her for lunch at the cafe. Over lunch Rosemary takes great pleasure in telling Edna the building work could take months and she could be staying at Home Farm for some time.
