    'Weal of Fortune'
Airs Tuesday, October 24 2006 at 17:35 BST on BBC One

Sky tells Dylan that a fortune-teller warned that her baby was in danger. Dylan allays her fears by proving how easy it is to read palms. The two continue to build bridges and Harold tells Sky that Dylan obviously still loves her. This just makes Sky feel even guiltier about her dark secret and she declares that Dylan is too good for her. Her self-pity irritates Harold who suggests she tries to forgive herself. The pressure on Sky further intensifies when Dylan invites himself and Elle to Sky's new ultrasound. Terrified that Dylan might discover he's not the father of her baby, Sky suddenly has even bigger worries when Karl reveals that the baby could have birth abnormalities.

Elle's rampant jealousy is further stirred when Janae tells her that Dylan loves Sky. Elle tries to deny this but she soon sees for herself that Janae is right. She confronts Dylan and tells him he's a fool, but instead of giving up she decides to fight even harder for her man.

Rachel observes Boyd and Janae's ‘grown-up’ relationship and worries that her union with Stingray is too juvenile. Janae, however, intuits the real reason behind Rachel's anxiety and helps her realise there's no sense in rushing adulthood. When Rachel tries to talk to Stingray about her new attitude, he misunderstands and feels she's being erratic and difficult. Losing his patience, he slams Rachel's continuing childishness.

Janae and Boyd attend a market research session for married couples, but it results in Janae fearing for the future of her own marriage - and shocking Boyd with her proposed solution.

Carmella sees Connor’s wallet being found as a sign from God that he is still alive, but Toadie fears it’s just another of Robert’s mind games. Robert, however, seems genuinely intrigued by the development, implying that he never killed Connor. This is sign of real hope to Toadie: Connor’s still out there somewhere…

Katya is physically well enough to leave the hospital but suffers emotionally and mentally - a delayed reaction to her kidnapping trauma. Katya’s fear of men is such that Susan organises for only female staff to treat her, but a notable exception to the rule is Max. Katya feels safe with him and he can do no wrong in her eyes - even when a guilty Max confesses all about the mobile phone. Katya is aware she’s not coping and asks for Max’s help and friendship – which he gladly offers.

Izzy finally wakes up to Paul’s emotional absence and reaches out to him. Repelled by what he sees as Izzy’s self-degrading neediness, Paul pushes her away. Izzy’s comeback is to flirt outrageously with Cam, but this only disgusts Paul further and poor Izzy is left humiliated and heartbroken.

Airs Friday, October 27 2006 at 17:35 BST on BBC One

Cameron is beginning to get back some of the memories from his time at the hospital in a coma. One memory about Carmella persists, although the details remain vague. When he mentions it to her, Carmella reacts with alarm. Later, Cameron recalls yet more of a strange phone call Carmella made in St Luke’s and she is forced to admit that his memory is not playing tricks on him. But Carmella begs Cameron not to enquire any further – the truth behind the phone call is the reason she seeks God’s forgiveness in her new life as a nun.

Izzy is terrified that her relationship with Paul is floundering. Having put up with his philandering, and seen off the threat of Gail, Izzy can’t work out why Paul remains emotionally so distant. When she confronts him about it, his hollow response makes it clear there’s little love left. Izzy gives Paul one last chance to prove his affection but when he fails to do so, she reluctantly moves out.

In the aftermath of the accident, Max continues to grow closer to Katya. In attempting to lend further support, Max ends up agreeing to join her in learning Tibetan.

Steph is still trying to discover which of her neighbours complained to the council about the noisy bike repairs. Despite her obsessive sleuthing, however, she’s no closer to finding the culprit.

Lyn is enjoying her new business success and spends up big on herself and her family. But her optimism for the future is dashed when she’s served with a writ for patent infringement over Steph’s Baby-belt design.
