Having left his father to perish in the mineshaft, Robert plans for an uncomplicated departure – but this is thwarted when Izzy, Elle and Gail confront him. Robert manages to get away and the women alert the authorities. Meanwhile, captive Paul is at the mercy of the collapsing mineshaft. All hope looks lost!

Janelle and Dylan finally discuss Sky’s pregnancy, and Janelle makes it clear she expects Dylan to ditch Elle and reconcile with the mother of his child. But Dylan refuses – he’s committed to Elle now.

Susan confides her rekindled relationship with Karl to Lyn, who is thrilled for the pair. She does have concerns about Karl’s ability to be faithful but Susan assures her Karl is a changed man.

When they realize that Katya was right and that Robert is bad, Katya and Toadie visit Cameron in prison. Although red tape will interfere with a quick release, Cameron is pleased. He’s also cautious, however, warning Katya that Robert will not let go of her.

'Now The Carnivore Is Over'

Paul attempts to make his presence known to the outside world by poking a photograph through a hole in the mineshaft ceiling, which Gail happens across while she’s privately grieving. Paul gets her attention when he hears her call out, but causes a cave-in in the mineshaft trapping him.

Izzy knows that Gail still has extremely strong feelings towards her ex, which makes Izzy seethe with jealousy. She keeps her thoughts to herself until she’s able to get Gail alone and deliver her a warning: back off from my man!

Sister Mary Catherine – Carmella - comes back to Erinsborough as a hospital volunteer and Toadie discovers that Robert may have been the last person Connor saw before he apparently left on his trip. Not having heard from Connor in weeks, his friends now fear for his safety.

Harold is delighted to hear that Sky’s planning for the future, but still believes that having the father around would help the baby. He asks Karl, as Sky’s doctor, to convince her that she’ll need Dylan to help her, but Karl doesn’t agree. Being in an uncaring relationship won’t do Sky any favours. Harold has other ideas about how to repair the damage though.

'I Goth You Babe'

Paul has been significantly changed by his near-death experience. With a new “take no prisoners” approach to life, he visits Cameron and finds his son in a similarly fired-up state. They angrily declare an end to feeling scared, guilty or miserable. With Rob still on the loose, now is the time to fight back – and together they’ll do just that!

Susan sees Karl innocently chatting with two young women and is struck with fear, reminded of how Karl broke her heart. She’s honest about her insecurities and Karl responds with sympathy and humility. He vows he’s a changed man, but confides his own fear that he will never live up to Susan’s memory of Alex. Susan and Karl realise they have much to work through, but there’s a sense of optimism that their love will prevail. The secret affair again comes under threat when Bree clocks Karl and Susan locking lips – will Zeke be faced with his worst nightmare?

Paul twigs to Lyn’s love for him and begins to exploit her. Flattered and flustered by his flirting, Lyn follows his callous orders at Lassiter’s, wielding power without conscience.

Steph and Janae try to organise a Hoyland family meal but neither Boyd nor Max will be first to offer an olive branch.

Bree adopts another new look, desperately searching for an identity that fits. Zeke tries desperately to keep up but the “Goth-punk” look doesn’t exactly come naturally.

Janae realises topless Ned is a big drawcard for her website, so she hides all his shirts.

'Ain't That A Shane'

Harold’s disturbed when he receives a visit from some men claiming to be from the Russian consulate. Is Mishka’s passport deception about to destroy her dream of happiness with Lou?

After spying Susan and Karl in a romantic clinch, Bree questions Zeke about the idea of Susan ‘moving on’ romantically. Zeke makes it clear that he thinks Susan should stay committed to Alex’s memory. Bree confesses to Susan that she knows about their affair and warns that Zeke will not take the news well. Fearful that the children will find out soon anyway, Susan suggests she and Karl must go public.

After a near-miss with Susan, Stingray complains that he’s feeling guilty about the lies required to keep his and Rachel’s relationship secret. He suggests that it’s time to tell the world about them – Rachel’s coming birthday is as good a time as any.

To Ned’s surprise, Justine announces it’s time for Karl to bow out of ‘Oodles O’ Noodles’. Karl’s outraged but Justine maintains she has Ned’s best interests at heart – he’s got a real future in children’s entertainment and doesn’t need Karl dragging him down.

Lou arranges to donate his and Mishka’s brewing profits to the Shane Warne Foundation and the man himself makes an appearance at the ScarletBar.

'The Warne Identity'

Terrified of facing the Russian authorities, Mishka and Lou’s first instinct is to go on the run. But they realise the folly of their plan and decide to stay and face the music. The Russian officials seem sympathetic to Mishka’s plight and she accompanies them to the Embassy, quietly confident that she’ll be allowed to stay. But Lou’s worst fears are realised when he discovers the mysterious men were not who they said they were – it appears Mishka’s been kidnapped!

Still annoyed with Dylan’s casualness towards Sky’s pregnancy, Stingray pledges his unconditional friendship and support – he’s looking forward to being a loving uncle. Unbeknownst to Stingray, Rachel witnesses the exchange and their obvious closeness surprises her. She puts two and two together and confronts Stingray – it was Sky he slept with, wasn’t it?

Steph and Janae have high hopes for reconciliation between Max and Boyd. But tensions resurface and Janae despairs of Boyd and Max ever moving on. Boyd admits his anger is fuelled by a deep sadness that his relationship with his dad is beyond repair. In a private moment with Charlie and Steph, Max too reveals his fear that he’s lost Boyd forever.

Elle works overtime to win Janelle’s approval. But it’s to no avail. Freezing Elle out, Janelle welcomes Sky into the Timmins clan – she’s carrying the first Timmins grandchild after all.
