Sherrie Hewson returns to Corrie

Sherrie Hewson is returning to Coronation Street for a couple of episodes, I can confirm.

The actress who most recently played Lesley Meredith in Emmerdale, is to reprise her Cobbles role as Maureen Elliott.

Sherrie is to start filming at the end of October and will be on screen at the end of December.

I flaming hope shes not permanent, I dont like the actress or the character and am unimpressed with the decision to bring her back.

I remember her. She was with Reg Holdworth, and then she went off with Kevin's dad. Is that right?!

Was she something to do with Fred as well?! Elliott?! I can't remember.

Just looked up some details and yes she was married to Reg but she also married Fred.. maybe she is coming back for his funeral????
