The entire village is rocked with grief and devastation as they desperately try to come to terms with the loss of lives following the house collapse. Jack, after spotting the Health and Safety Executive in the pub, makes sure they know about the JCB banging into the show house.

Meanwhile, Carl and Matthew realise they're going to need to get a solicitor. When the Health and Safety Executive arrive at Home Farm they question Tom and his sons about the JCB incident. Carl tells them that Jimmy got a structural engineer in after the incident. Will the Health and Safety executive believe Carl?

Elsewhere, Sam becomes annoyed with Alice when he finds her planning her own funeral. He tells her that he supported her through the wing walk and has always been there to hold her hand but he just can't cope with this.

Carl and Matthew come to terms with the fact that if Jimmy didn't repair the house properly after the JCB incident, King and Sons are in serious trouble.

Later that day, Matthew becomes suspicious of whether his fiancé, Sadie, was having an affair with Cain and he questions him. Cain, however, just cryptically tells Matthew that he should find Jimmy’s camera. Will Matthew discover the truth?

Sam is angry that Alice is dying and he is convinced that he will be useless without her. Shadrach, showing he does has a sensitive side, gives an upset Alice a notebook to record all her motherly advice she would give Samson as he’s growing up so he won’t be without a mother.

Meanwhile, Bob pins Tom against the wall and tells him that he knows about the JCB incident and that he he's not going to get away with it. Tom is even more shaken when he finds out from the Health and Safety Executive that the JCB broke a gas pipe that in turn caused the explosion. What will the King family do?

The police tell Turner that they have found Terence's body in the foundations of the show home. Turner is scared that Steph will now get blamed for his death.

Meanwhile, at the B&B, the police arrive to take Steph away for questioning about Terence's death.

Over at the Dingles’, Sam catches Cain taking money from the Dingles’ pot. Eli also witnesses this and wades in, overpowering Cain and getting the money back. Zak, however, is not impressed and tries to reassert his place as head of the family deciding that it is time that Eli moves out. Sam is gutted, but will he manage to persuade his dad to give Eli another chance?

The villagers organise a meeting. They want to take the Kings to court over the deaths at the development. Jack begins by filling the villagers in on what his solicitor had said yesterday. Grayson, however, intervenes and informs the villagers that they will need excellent legal advice to bring the Kings to justice and even then it will be a long drawn out process. Will the villagers be deterred?

Meanwhile, at the meeting, Eli shoves Tom and squares up to Matthew. Marlon tries to convince Eli that violence isn't the answer but, when things at the meeting look doomed before they have begun, Eli tells Marlon that he should take matters into his own hands. Will Marlon be convinced?

Even though her father is adamant that she is innocent, when Steph is released on bail and heads to the Woolpack, the villagers are disgusted to see her.

The police discover that Adam had been practicing medicine under his late father’s name. The police question Steph and it is clear that she didn't know about Adam's past.

Later that day, the police tell Turner that they believe Terence was blackmailing Adam and that this still leaves Steph and Adam with a motive for his murder. Will a determined Turner be able to track down Adam and clear his daughter?

Meanwhile, Danny tries to convince Len to find Pearl but Len just utters that it is better if she stays away as there will just be a lynch mob waiting for her. Danny suggests they could pay off Pearl's debts to her friends, but will Len agree?
