That's what happened in tonight episode,maybe the paper got it wrong! but honest it was in there!,unless she sends them after it comes out that it was david.perhaps it's a future spoiler.

The News of the world is usually very reliable, seems a coincidence they released the storyline on the day David announced he was the card sender. May be there is a twist in the tale.
