Steph manages to pass her psychiatric assessment and is due to be released. However, Adam panics that his past may catch up with him and he quickly drugs his wife. Steph begins to hallucinate, and out of control, she lashes out, hitting a doctor who is trying to restrain her. As her behaviour suggests that she is far from sane, will Steph be able to prove her sanity?

Meanwhile, Dawn tells Jamie and Jean that she is thinking about moving back to Spain. Worried that Dawn is serious Jean and Bob decide they need to make her feel wanted and decide to throw her a surprise party. Will seeing all her family and friends together be enough to persuade Dawn to stay in the village?

Debbie is disappointed when Jasmine tells her that she can’t spend the day with her due to her revision. Later on, when Debbie hears Perdy asking Ashley if the church would be interested in helping collect books and toys for an orphanage in Bosnia, Debbie volunteers their services, hoping that it will give her and Jasmine an opportunity to spend time together. How will Jasmine feel at the extra pressure and will she be able to get out of it?

Elsewhere, Steph realises she has to play at being ‘normal’ to be let out of the hospital.

However, when Adam goes to visit her, will she be able to keep up the act?

Meanwhile, Chas tells Carl the only way to hurt Matthew is through his wallet. Determined to get revenge, Carl is thoughtful about Chas’s idea.

Seeking further revenge, Carl and Chas return to the haulage yard in balaclavas. The pair set about causing destruction but when Carl spots Cain acting as a security guard, the pair leg it. Cain hears the disturbance and follows in hot pursuit. Without Carl realising Chas stumbles on her bad knee and is caught by Cain. As Cain approaches with a crowbar determined to make the intruder pay, Chas screams out and pulls the hat off to reveal her identity. Will Cain reveal the truth to Sadie and Matthew or will he stick by his cousin?

Meanwhile, Jasmine returns a book to Cain and is surprised to find he knows the book in depth. Later, Jasmine is at home with Debbie and finds a parcel. It is the book back from Cain with a note asking her to meet him the following night. Jasmine is left feeling apprehensive but excited by Cain’s interest.

Meanwhile, Jean keeps pretending to Dawn that she is interested in Tom, but how will Dawn react when she finds out it is really Terry Jean has been spending time with?

Jasmine heads to the haulage yard to meet a smug Cain. He jokes that he knew she would turn up, but Jasmine insists she only came to tell him to back off and states she knows he’s only interested in her to try and hurt Debbie. Skilful, Cain charms her, insisting there’s far more between them and he knows she’s not gay. Jasmine confesses to all of her confusion and Cain insists that the only way to find out her true sexuality is to try other options. Flattered by his attention, Jasmine gives in to her desire. But how will Jasmine feel when she realises the enormity of her actions?

Later, Cain tells Matthew that he saw off the intruders but as it involved violence he has wiped the security tape as he doesn’t want a counter charge on his hands. Cain later tries to blackmail Carl with the tape but will Carl succumb to Cain’s demands?

Elsewhere, Dawn decides to match make Tom and her mother, so she tells Mr King that Jean is keen. When Tom asks her out, Jean is forced to accept, much to Terry’s horror!

Jasmine breaks down in front of Laurel and blurts out that she has had sex with a boy from school. She admits she is worried she might be pregnant. Laurel is mortified and insists she goes to get the morning after pill. Jasmine assures her that she will and Laurel promises not to tell Ashley.

Later, Jasmine is at the bus stop when Cain drives up and demands she get in. Jasmine hesitates but gives in before she accuses Cain of using her. He promises he isn’t and tries to convince her with a passionate kiss. Thrilled but trying to remain cool, Jasmine asks Cain to run her into Hotten to get the morning after pill. Jasmine arrives home and tells Laurel she has taken the appropriate action. Relieved Laurel urges Jasmine to confide in Debbie, oblivious to the fact that she has slept with her girlfriend’s father.

Elsewhere, after being forced to tell Tom she isn’t interested. Jean is driven home by Terry. Alone together in the car, the pair finally confess to their true feelings for each other and they passionately embrace. They are disturbed to find a policeman knocking on the car window, revealing they are in a well known ‘lovers spot’. Much to their horror the couple are arrested for lewd behaviour!
