    Cool Corrie Spoilers 7th - 12th May

Airs Sunday, May 7 2006 at 19:30 BST on ITV1

Vera is up to her eyes in work again in Roy’s Rolls and eventually Jack steps in to take some of the burden. But after a long and exhausting day, Jack has had enough of people having a go at him and walks out leaving a pile of rubbish on the floor behind him. Norris pops in for a cup of tea and slips on the waste food on the floor. At first he is out cold but eventually comes to and an ambulance is called. Poor Norris is in agony with an injured ankle and wrist, so Rita goes with him to the hospital. Will Norris be all right?

It’s moving in day for Nathan at Frankie’s house and she even takes the day off to help him with his belongings. Whilst they are unloading his gear, Danny and Leanne pass by and witness the happy scene, and whilst he appears nonplussed, it is clear that Danny is suffering inside.

Over at the Platts’, David is planning to go and see Martin in Liverpool, and Gail tries to reassure him that she is ok to be left on her own. David can sense she is still feeling vulnerable but Gail tells him to go. However, when she is on her own in the house she can’t wait to pop a couple of sleeping pills and wait for the day to draw to a close.

And after some persuasion, Archie gets Audrey and Rita to make friends again.

Norris has stayed in hospital over night after his painful fall, but eventually Emily brings him home in a wheelchair. Blanche witnesses this and when she sees Frankie approaching Norris with some flowers, she makes a snide remark about them being an admission of guilt.

Meanwhile, in the café, the mystery stench is still awful and Jamie is convinced that he saw a mouse, so Frankie sets about cleaning Roys Rolls from top to bottom. However things take a turn for the worst when an Environmental Health Officer turns up after receiving a complaint. The inspector finds a whole host of problems and closes the café immediately until they are fit to open. What will Roy and Hayley’s reaction be to this when they return home?

Over in Lloyd’s flat, Becky is running late for work and Lloyd is taken aback to find Becky in his bedroom trying on one of Kelly’s tops. When Kelly hears about this she understandably tells Lloyd that Becky has outstayed her welcome and it time for her clingy friend to leave.

And in the Barlows’, Deirdre and Ken are concerned about Adam as he wakes up hung-over again. Ken gently asks him whether he has given any thought to getting a job but he gets short shrift from the sulky teen, who later heads off to the Rovers for another day’s drinking.

It’s early doors and already Frankie and Jamie have started gutting the cafe. Frankie is distraught at the prospect of Roy and Hayley returning to find their livelihood destroyed. Vera comes in to try and help but she is still not well, and then the phone goes and Vera answers it. Roy is on the phone and asks how everything is going. He mishears her explaining what has happened and thinks she said there is a problem with her ‘mental health’. Kind Roy immediately tells her to go home and relax, but what will his response be when he comes back to find his café in complete disarray? Will he sack Vera?

After a long shift in the factory, Kelly leaves with Becky and decides now is the time to tell her how she feels. She tries to explain that she and Lloyd need some space and her staying was only ever meant to be temporary. Becky seems to take this with good grace and tells them she will start flat hunting tomorrow. However, once their backs are turned, Becky breaks down and cries at the prospect of leaving.

Elsewhere, Kevin gets a big job at the garage but Nathan has taken the day off and Tyrone is on a pick up. Craig steps into the breach and offers his services. Working in the garage reminds him of his father, but Craig is determined to help Kevin as they set about fixing a car together.

And in the Platts’, Audrey discovers Gail’s stash of sleeping pills. When she asks her about them, tetchy Gail snaps at her mum and tells her to leave her alone.

Airs Friday, May 12 2006 at 19:30 BST on ITV1

Kelly is worried that Becky won’t have enough money for a flat of her own so pawns the expensive watch that Becky got her for her birthday. Becky accepts the cash and the two enjoy a drink in the Rovers whilst scouring the local paper for flats to rent. During this time both Fiz and Blanche’s purses goes missing and they complain straight away to Shelley. But when Becky gets back to Kelly’s place and realises no one is home, she opens her pockets to look over her stash of stolen purses from the pub. Will Kelly come home to catch her twisted friend red-handed?

Over in Roy’s Rolls, Roy, Hayley and Frankie are still hard at work. Roy takes time out to apologise profusely to Norris about his fall, but Norris is stubborn and tells him he doesn’t regret calling environmental health as the café was in a terrible state. Will Roy’s Rolls be ready for the inspection tomorrow?

Meanwhile, Claire talks to Shelley about wanting Fred to move out so that she can start decorating his room for a nursery. She goes home to chat to Ashley about the prospect, but its obvious that Ashley is too preoccupied thinking about Matt Ramsden to worry about a nursery.

And Kevin is impressed at Craig’s car skills and tells Rosie that he can have an after school training job at the garage if he wants. Will Craig take him up on his offer?

    Thanks for those Alan.

Incidentally there's no episode on May 10th because it's the UEFA Cup Final. I think the Champions League Final is the week after that so there may not be an episode of Corrie that day either.

How dare they interrupt our Corrie for more boring sport. lol. Usually they put hour-long episodes on to make up for the loss during the middle of the week. So it should be ok.

That's because they aint brave enough to cancel 24. Beside up 24 addicts only get 1 hour of enjoyment a week instead of the countless hours of telly time that the soaps hog over the week
