Sally has still not given up on her plan to split up Rosie and Craig. After failing with the police she has now hit upon the idea of sending Rosie away on the school skiing trip. Kevin is furious and is not at all sure it will work. Sally however is determined and won’t take no for an answer. Devastated Rosie speaks to Craig who suggests she go on the trip and when she returns her parents will see that they are serious about each other.
Sunita is still feeling confused about Dev, she is too angry to forgive him but too tired to stop him helping her. Her confusion is made worse when her brother arrives and tries to persuade her to come back home to the family – deeply torn she knows she has some thinking to do.
Liz arrives back from the cruise with some shocking news for Fred. Bev has met someone on the cruise and won’t be coming back to Weatherfield. Fred is despondent as Liz regales them all with stories from the trip.
Elsewhere Audrey tells Keith she is embarrassed by his paper round and David is angry when he discovers Martin and his girlfriend are expecting a baby.
Monday, 30th January 2006
Fred is still reeling from the shock news about Bev. He discusses the situation with Ashley who, distressed for his dad, accidentally cuts his finger. Fred rushes Ashley to casualty and whilst waiting for him to be stitched up is stunned to see a badly beaten Orchid being brought in on a stretcher. Later he makes some discreet inquiries with the hospital but keeps his sighting a secret from Ashley.
Dev is still determined to help Sunita and refuses to let her struggle on alone. Sunita is so tired her resolve has weakened to the point where she even lets Dev take her in his arms. As he talks about how much easier life would be if she let him help she starts to soften and they find themselves kissing…
Gail is being worn down by David’s behaviour and Audrey decides to try and give him a pep talk. It doesn’t appear to do much good however as he spends the day bunking off school. Gail tells Audrey to leave the chats to her in the future
Maria is still not best pleased with Tyrone for entering them into the Surprise A Bride competition in the paper but when she meets the journalist that has been sent to interview them she changes her mind. Meanwhile Tyrone is starting to feel more than a little

Whilst Dev is celebrating his reconciliation with Sunita it is clear to Shelley that her friend is not at all sure about accepting the inevitable and taking him back. Violet is also dismayed at this turn of events and it isn’t long before Sunita realises that she can’t face life with a man she no longer trusts or respects. With heavy heart she makes the call to her brother to tell him she is coming home.
Fred can’t stop thinking about seeing Orchid in such a bad way and decides to go to the hospital to pay her a visit. She admits that the assault was the result of another scam that rebounded when her victim took his revenge. Fred lies to Ashley about where he has been but confides in Rita who advises him to stay well away after what happened last time.
Steve is angry with Ronnie when she baits Tracy about their plans for the evening and delights in telling her that they can’t babysit for Amy. Steve makes it clear to Ronnie that he isn’t impressed with her game playing – but she’s enjoying herself far too much to stop now.
Elsewhere, Tyrone is not convinced that Maria will think the mobile chip shop is a good idea so Molly helps him work out a business plan to try and impress her.

Sunita guiltily lets Dev take the children for a while, uneasy in the knowledge that he has no idea she is planning to leave. Not sure how to tell him what her plans are, she even tells him she will consider moving back in with him. Dev is thrilled that things are finally going his way but the wind is taken out oft his sails when later he spots Sunita and the children getting in the car with Jayesh. Dev frantically pleads with Sunita not to take his children away but it looks like he may have lost them for good.
After taking Rita into his confidence, Fred persuades her to go with him to the hospital to see Stacy/Orchid. When they discover she has left the hospital Fred is concerned, and when she turns up on the Street he convinces Rita to take her in to be safe from her violent ex.
Tyrone is disappointed with the unflattering magazine coverage but Vera insists that Maria is lucky to have him. His concerns are forgotten however when Maria gives him some exciting news.
