EASTENDERS star kacey ainsworth was heart broken last night after her father died. the 35-year-old actress - who plays downtodden little mo slater - often praised her dad Ted for being her "inspiration". the 75-year-old died in his sleep at the weekend. Last night a family friend said: "we are still waiting to find out the cause". "Everyone is in shock - ted was well loved". "Kacey is grief stricken. She was very close to her dad and he had seen her through some tough times, it has come as a shock". Ted was happily married to Kacey's mum Hazel for 41 years. Speaking about her dad she once said : " He's an inspiration. He always drummed it into me that anything is possible." And she revealed how her parents helped her through her traumatic miscarridge in 2002. Kacey went on to give birth to her little girl blossom in may 2004. Her parents also helped her launch an acting career when she had no cash and was living on "lemon curd sandwiches". As the sun revealed in october, Kacey is quitting the show and films her final scenes in April.
