JENKINS MANOR – DAY
Richard is typing up a file on his laptop. Nick walks in.
Nick: You said you wanted to speak to me dad?
Richard: Oh of course yes! Come in! Take a seat!
Nick: What’s it about…Ed?
Richard: In a way I suppose yes…ive been thinking since…since he went, about the family, and how much I don’t value you all enough…especially you…
Nick: How do you mean?
Richard: What you was saying to Gary about me giving you no part in the business…
Nick: Oh forget it Dad honestly , it was just be being stupid…a bit angry one of the days…just ignore me..
Richard: No you were right, I’m getting too hard for this business, its always been my mind on passing it on before I die, I want to enjoy life a bit…and give you all the opportunities I had. The business needs a need lease of life, and youll give it, new ideas new challenges…im passing it on to you.
Nick: To me? Wow thanks dad….but what about Tanya….and Ed?
Richard: Lets be fair Nick, Tanya couldn’t run a marathon never long the family business, and Ed…well we’ve got to move on now…chances are he’s dead…
There’s an awkward silence for a few seconds.
Richard: So the Taylor empire is now yours, im having the solicitor draw up the contracts as we speak…the holiday park, and everything is yours…naturally ill be here whenever you need a hand, and ill be on the look out for new ventures…but its about time you got it Nick…you’ve earned it…
Nick: I don’t know what to say dad! But thanks!
Richard: Go on, be off with you, I’ve just got to finish this, then I’ll come and join you down the Rum for a drink…
Nick leaves the office. Richard smiles to himself. He looks at a photo of his 3 children and stops smiling. His mobile phone rings and he answers it.
Richard: Hello…yes…what you’ve found a body?…yes I’ll be there straight away, thanks.
Close up of Richard’s look of fear. He takes a deep breath and then rushes out of the office.

EXT. DEVON ROADS – DAY
Nick is crusing down the quite country roads approaching Baymoore. He is listening to “I Predict A Riot” by The Kaiser Chiefs. Nick is happy at his new promotion and is singing to the music. His phone rings, Richard is calling him, he goes to pick it up but hears a deafening thud.
He has hit someone.
EXT. BAYMOORE BEACH – DAY
Richard gets out of his car and heads down to the beach, where police have corned off the area, and crowds are gathering around the tape.
Mandy: Hey it looks like they’ve found something…
Val: Maybe it’s a stiff…
Amy: What do you reckon it’s Ed’s?
Val: Knowing this area it could be anyone or anything…
Richard barges past the crowds and bends down past the tape and walks onto the beach where Tanya is waiting for him.
Tanya: Oh dad, thank god you’re here…I couldn’t do it on my own…
Richard: Come on…lets do it together
The pair hold hands and walk down towards the police….
