I think the glasses are for comedy effect. I find them laughable.

I'm enjoying Corrie just now, I don't like Martin though, he annoys me, but should be interesting come Friday. I find some of the book club moments quite funny and the whole Claire/Tram thing I think is meant as a bit of humour - esp the glasses. Hey don't knock someone's dream! We all have them ;)

So you've been to the library to book it out have you.
They're hardly going to use a real book unless it's a classic such as Pride and Prdjudice as it would be seen as advertising.
I liked it when Blanche i think it was suddenly realised she'd been reading the wrong book.
The oldies are coming up with some quite good comedy stuff at the moment. I must say though i'm getting a bit fed up of all of Blanches friends thinking that Ken is the answers to their dreams. Maybe they should give Calires glasses to blanche to hand out to her friends to put on when they come through the door.
