    With Keith having gone out for the evening, Rosie and Craig are left alone in number 6. Craig has been upset due to missing his mother at this time of the year and Rosie provides comfort for him as they cuddle up on the sofa. After the harrowing year he’s had to endure, Craig tells Rosie how much he feels for her and as they continue to chat the Craig’s emotions come spilling out and he reveals he loves her. The two lovestruck teens are swept away by the moment and they decide to head upstairs to the bedroom. Are Rosie and Craig about to take things to another level and consummate their relationship?

    Elsewhere, still flushed from her recent scratch-card win, Kelly and Lloyd are eating out in style at the Clock restaurant. Kelly is still splashing the cash and showing off her new purchases when a concerned Lloyd again attempts to rein her in a bit by suggesting she save some of her winnings. Kelly doesn’t share her boyfriend’s frugal view and they soon begin to argue. A furious Lloyd storms out of the posh eatery, leaving Kelly alone to settle the bill. The leggy machinist begins to walk home alone but it’s not long before she is joined by a young hoodie who seems keen to relive Kelly of her new found wealth. Is Kelly about to become another crime statistic? Having left his girlfriend alone how will a guilty-feeling Lloyd react to the mugging?

    Meanwhile, David is finding it hard to get into the Christmas spirit and when he is rude Gail, Phil decides to have a word. He advises the insolent youngster that he should show more respect to his mother but David is in no mood to listen and stuns Phil when he responds in a flippant manner. Its clear Phil has got a lot work to do before he wins David over? However, Gail is secretly pleased that Phil has had to deal first hand with David’s mood swings. Will the experience cause Phil to re-think his softly, softly approach?

    Also, Mike invites Danny and Leanne to a family Christmas lunch.

    Having lied to her mother Sally about where she spent the night, Rosie attempts to sneak out of the Harris’s house without being rumbled, but her plan fails when she encounters Keith and Audrey who between them quickly work out what has been going between the two teenagers. Shocked by his grandson’s actions, Keith sits Craig down for a man to man chat but his words of caution fall on deaf ears as Craig argues that he loves Rosie and compares his relationship to that of Keith and Audrey’s. Keith is left exasperated and later confides his feelings in Audrey. Having experienced the trials of a teenage pregnancy with her own granddaughter, the salon owner compels Keith to inform Kevin and Sally that Rosie and Craig are sleeping together. If he doesn’t, she will. Rosie is petrified her mum is going to find out about her. Will Audrey reveal all to Sally and Kevin?

    Meanwhile, the festive feeling of goodwill has failed to thaw relations between Steve and Tracy. The pair exchange words when Steve points out that his usual day to look after daughter Amy is Sunday, and although he is aware that this is Christmas Day, he still expects custody as usual. Tracy is adamant that she will be with Amy on Sunday but when she later chats to Charlie about the situation, the Weatherfield bad lad insists that she let Steve have Amy as it would mean Charlie and Tracy could be alone together. It appears Charlie is keen on Tracy but is he as keen on playing happy families with Tracy’s daughter Amy?

    Elsewhere, Phil faces an uncomfortable holiday period as his flat has been flooded. He pours his heart to Gail, who thinks she may have a temporary solution to the situation, but will Sarah and David be happy if Gail offers Phil refuge for the festive season?

    Airing Monday, 19th December 2005 at 20:30 on ITV1

    David is appalled at Gail’s plans to allow boyfriend Phil to stay at the Platts’ house over Christmas. Unable to trust Phil, and unsure of the reflexologist’s motives, the troubled youngster takes matters into his own hands. David’s actions lead to yet more strife for mum Gail when a police car pulls onto the street to return David home. The police officer explains to a stunned Gail and Phil that they caught David attempting to break into Phil’s flat. David covers explaining that he was only looking for Phil and the police drop the matter. Later, as Gail and Phil discuss the incident, it appears David’s plan is coming to fruition when his mum and her boyfriend fail to see eye to eye over David’s behaviour. Will his plan to drive a wedge between the couple work?

    Meanwhile, Rosie is on edge all day fearing that Audrey will spill the beans about her having slept with Craig. Audrey has kept the secret to herself so far but the youngster fears that it’s only a matter of time before she reveals the truth. When Sally calls in for a trim, can Audrey keep quiet or is Sally about to get a shock?

    Elsewhere, Amber arrives back on the street and wastes no time in letting people know she is Dev’s daughter, and Eileen is upset when she hears that son Todd won’t be able to come home for Christmas.

    Also, Eric invites Carol for a meal on Christmas Day.

    Airing Wednesday, 21st December 2005 at 19:30 on ITV1

    Eileen is dismayed as she sits looking at her bare Christmas tree. With no man in her life and the recent trouble with Jason and Todd not returning home, it’s not shaping up to be a great yuletide for the cab firm controller. However, her mood is lifted when she spots Phil in the street and he offers to give her a lift with her shopping. The pair chat and Phil reveals his recent difficulties with David. After the hassle he receives at the Platts’, we sense that Phil is enjoying the peace and quiet offered by Eileen.

    Meanwhile, Jack is desperate to raise some extra cash in order to buy Vera an expensive figurine for Christmas. He unsuccessfully asks Fred and then Kevin if they have any extra work he could do to raise the money. Not to be deterred, Jack spots an advert in the local paper that catches his eye, will this revealing new profession help Jack succeed in his quest to find extra funds?

    Elsewhere, Frankie agrees to go out for a drink with mechanic Nathan but son Jamie isn’t to keen on the idea.

    Also, Audrey invites Keith and Craig to spend Christmas day at the Platts’

    Seasonal fever takes hold at Underworld when the factory girls persuade Danny and Mike to give them the afternoon off to go for Christmas drinks. Mike’s in a good mood having bought Penny an engagement ring. He’s admiring the sparkler when Penny arrives and the factory boss manages to hide the ring in a drawer before his live–in girlfriend spots it. Unaware of Mike’s plans, Penny is once again upset when she witnesses Mike forget what he is doing whilst he attempts to sort out the Christmas wages. Later at the pub, Mike realises he’s left the engagement ring back at the factory, he heads off to retrieve the ring. But will another bout of forgetfulness mean that Mike again leaves the gift at the factory?

    Meanwhile, annoyed at Tracy’s refusal to allow him to see his daughter on Christmas day, Steve decides to enlist Ken and Deirdre’s help in changing Tracy’s mind. Ken is horrified by Tracy’s attitude and heads off with Steve to the Rovers to confront his daughter. Tracy initially sticks to her guns but when Charlie challenges her stance, will she back down and allow Steve access on Christmas day?

    Elsewhere, Carol is dismayed when Jamie finds her wrapping his present. She has bought him an engraved signet ring and explains to Jamie that she is happy to be spending Christmas with him. The pair chat and Jamie is pleased when she informs him she is thinking of getting a flat of her own. However, how will he react when Carol suggests he leaves Frankie’s and moves in with her?

    Also, Emily and Rita attend Reverand Ashbourne’s final church service. They are charmed by fellow worshipper Ed’s kind words.
