National Television Awards 2022

[Perdita]

After a month-long delay, the National Television Awards finally aired on Thursday ( October 13).

Despite no Ant and Dec, they managed to keep up with tradition and still scoop the award for Best TV Presenter, with Stephen Mulhern taking great pride in collecting the award for them.

It was a big night for Emmerdale, with the soap taking two awards, Best Serial Drama and Serial Drama Performance for Mark Charnock's performance as Marlon Dingle.

Strictly Come Dancing won out over rivals Drag Race UK, Britain's Got Talent and The Masked Singer in the Talent Show category, while judge Anton du Beke was awarded for his first series on the panel.

Peaky Blinders always walked away with the award for Best Returning Drama, on top of star Cillian Murphy winning in the Drama Performance category.

The night was hosted by The Masked Singer's Joel Dommett and featured a solemn tribute to The Queen.

Not normally bothered about these awards but apparently Holly and Phil were booed when they arrived and just for that I am glad that THIS MORNING won their category, I believe that they were working and did not jump any queue and the petition to have them sacked is just disgusting behaviour from those setting it up and signing it.
