    Murder In The Outback

Is anyone going to watch this drama tonight on ITV1? It starts at 9pm and finishes at 11pm and it's based on a true story.

Here is the sypnosis: One-off drama examining the events surrounding the murder of British bagpacker Peter Falconio in 2001. The film follows the traumatic ordeal faced in the Australlian outback and during the trial by the victim's girlfriend Joanna Lees, who found herself targeted by the sceptical media.

Joanna Froggatt plays Joanna Lees and she is such a good actress, i will definetly be tuning in!

If it has Joanna Froggart in it, I'm watching. She is just the best, hands down - brilliant actress, so talented and dynamic in her roles.

I'm sorry I didn't watch it. I was watching the double wammy of grey's Anatomy instead, did anyone watch that it was awesome. Sorry back to murder in the outback. When this happened I always had a nigiling feeling that Joanne did have something to do with Peter's disapearence. Did this drama potrait the true story of what really happened.

Thanks to Vicky for my great new banner xxx

What a fantastic drama, absolutely superb! Once again, Joanne Froggatt's acting was exceptional, she played the part of Joanna Lees brilliantly. Despite me not really hearing much about the case back in 2001, i thought it portrayed what happened really well. It did touch on why people thought she was suspicious because of her not crying in front of the media, not answering all the journalists questions, and having that fake name "Steph" and having that affair with the other man but i thought the drama reflected well what Joanna Lees was going through during the whole case as the story was focused on her experiences, feelings and emotion after what had happened. It was great and had me gripped throughout.

Watching it last night, i actually believe that Joanna Lees couldn't have been guilty, we saw the situation through her eyes and to be honest, if i was ever in a situation like she was, i would have reacted the same with the media, keeping my emotions and feelings to myself etc. The evidence against Murdock added up for me with the DNA evidence, and the photo fitted his identity quite well. Some of her story may have not added up but she went through a traumatic experience so her memory of what happened was bound to have been blurred, making some of her story not add up.

I'm not sure when or if it will be repeated though, it is bound to be repeated on ITV 2 or 3 at some point.
