It's set about 5 weeks from now but it is based on the spoilers from next week. Sort of anyway .

Goodbye My Lover - Part 1

You touched my heart, you touched my soul
You changed my life and all my goals.
Love is blind and that I knew when, my heart was blinded by you.

Chrissie was sitting on the edge of the bath. She tapped her feet on the floor impatiently. Those three minuits had been the slowest minuits she'd ever waited in her life. In a few seconds she'd know if it was true or not. She'd know if she was going to have child of her own. Her own and Jake's. A smile appeared on her face when she thought about him. But then she thought about Sharon. Would she be able to accept it and be happy for her? After all, she had just had to bury her father 4 weeks ago. She sighed and looked at her watch. 10 seconds to go. She closed her eyes as she counted down the last few moments. She opened her eyes and looked down at the pregnancy test that was in her hands. She smiled as she saw a faint, blue line. Positive. A single tear of happiness rolled down her cheek.

Chrissie walked back into the bar of the pub. She couldn't help smiling. Jake walked over to her.
Jake: What's made so happy?
She so pleased she hardly noticed Jake.
Chrissie: Sorry. What?
Jake: I asked you why you were smiling so much.
She placed her hand on his shoulder.
Chrissie: Well why don't we go upstairs and I'll tell you?
Jake: Is it something worth celebrating? Because we could open a bottle of wine.
Chrissie: It's something worth celebrating but perhaps we should give the wine a miss.
He frowned, curious to know what she was talking about and went upstairs. She soon followed.

Chrissie sat down on the sofa beside Jake. She smiled and stroked his cheek gently.
Jake: Well darling, what is it then?
She edged closer to him. She placed his hand on her stomach.
Chrissie: Well, I'm pregnant..
His eyes widened.
Jake: Really? Are you sure?
Chrissie: Positive. You can see the pregnancy test if you don't believe me.
Jake: No, I do believe you, it's just.. Wow! I mean, I'm speechless.
She placed her hand over his. He was still in shock.
Chrissie: Are you alright Jake?
Jake: Yeah.. But is it mine?
Chrissie: What do you mean? I haven't slept with anyone else if that's what your asking.
Jake: Well how could anyone not be attracted to such a gorgeous woman like yourself?
She blushed a little. He grinned at her and pushed a stray curl out of her face before kissing her.

Chrissie woke up the morning after, with Jake's arms around her waist. She switched the alarm clock off. She wanted to stay like this forever. She kissed Jake's arm softly. He opened his eyes.
Jake: Morning beautiful.
Chrissie: Sorry babe, did I wake you?
Jake: Yeah but it doesn't matter.
He grinned at her.
Jake: You're bloody gorgeous, you know that?
She smiled.
Chrissie: Yeah well, so are you.
He kissed the top of her head.

Chrissie spent most of the day laughing and flirting with Jake. Sometimes they'd kiss if they met in the hall. Jake brought in some crates. Chrissie watched his every move.
Chrissie: We should go out for dinner tonight.
He placed the crate he was carrying on the floor and stood up straight.
Jake: Yeah. That'd be nice. I'll book a table at Fargo's.
Chrissie: Ok.
She looked at him. She felt like she was drawn to him. He moved closer to her and put his arms around her waist. She didn't tell him to stop like before. She just let him kiss her. She blocked out everything and for one moment she felt like the whole world had been shut away from them. Like nothing mattered. She wanted to believe that nothing mattered, but deep down she knew she had a deadly secret, and inside it was hacking away at her. She felt the guilt creep up on her and she pulled away.
Jake: What's the matter?
His voice was so understanding and calm.
Chrissie: Nothing. Just go and book the table.
He released his arms from around her body and backed away. Hurt.
Chrissie: Oh Jake, I'm sorry.
He walked out into the hall. She followed him out..
Chrissie: Darling, I didn't mean it.
He sighed. She sounded so sincere. He gave in.
Jake: It's alright. I know you didn't.
He cupped her face in his hands and kissed her again.
Jake: I better book that table.
She grinned and kissed him again.
Chrissie: And I better get back to the bar.
She walked out. Jake smiled to himself as he picked up the phone. He dialled the number for Fargo's.
Jake: Hello. I need to book a table for two. Yeah half eight will be fine. Thankyou. Bye.
He put the phone down and walked out into the bar. He spotted Chrissie giving a cust omer their change and walked over. He slipped his arms around her waist from behind. She smiled.
Jake: Hello gorgeous. I've booked the table.
Chrissie: Great.
She turned around to face him.
Chrissie: Thankyou.
Jake: For what?
Chrissie: For just being here.
Jake: You don't need to thank me. It was a choice I made, I could've either stayed with Danny for the rest of my life, or come back to you.
Chrissie: And you chose me.
Jake: Yeah.
She looked into his eyes. He deserved to know the truth. She ignored this thought and kissed him softly.
