Only Time will Tell Squeal Part One (Bit of a boring start!)

“Here ya are kids…” Rosie smiled as she placed a huge bag on the table which the twins riffled through.

“Cheers Mum..” Darren smiled as he picked out his presents.

“This is so cool…” Demi smiled sweetly as she ripped open the first one.

It was January 28th 2006 and it was the twins 15th birthday. Rosie and Keith sat at the table with them as they opened their presents and ate Cake.

“Ere… Looks like we got new neighbours” Mickey said coming in with a smile.

“Really son?.. Where abouts?”

“Number 5... Johnny’s place” Mickey said as Rosie frowned.

“I didn’t know he was moving…” she said as Keith shrugged.

“I’m gonna go round in a bit… introduce me self” Mickey smiled as he sat down beside the Twins. “Anything Nice?” He asked as they nodded, Mickey reached into his pocket and pulled out two cards. “Happy birthday!”

The twins smiled and thanked him and they each received £20. Mickey smiled and Hugged them as Rosie looked on happily.

Mickey stood watching from the window looking over at number 5 as he watched the removal van pull up and a couple of people started to get out and look up at their new house. Mickey smiled as he watched the new talent.

“Darren! Dem’s!” He called as they came running in to see what he was looking at. “He looks ‘bout your age… fancy goin’ round?” Mickey smiled as he looked back out the window at the young girl who was walking up the stairs.

“I’m gonna stay ere…” Demi sighed as she flopped on the sofa.

“Cmon Dem’s, be a laugh, never know he might be alright”

“I said I’m staying here Darren!” She snapped sharply as Mickey sighed shoving Darren out the room.

“Don’t be hard on her… she’s going through a tough time right now!” Mickey said lowering his voice as Darren sighed and they both left the house.

Demi sat on the sofa as she could see her brothers heading across the square to number 5. Her attention then turned to the floor as she gave a huge sigh. They were so close, so close to being a proper family. They’d survived everything that life threw at them, together they’d been through so much, but now she was left to go through that all alone. They were sure nothing could go wrong. But they were torn apart. It had been almost 5 months now, and still Demi couldn’t see a way out, a way of getting over it all. Was this how her life was going to be from now on, alone, single mother no real friends left. This wasn’t how it was supposed to be, he wasnt supposed to leave, she wasnt supposed ot be alone!... It wasn’t supposed to end this way!
