Casualty will air the first part of Charlie's swansong next week, as he vows to prove there is good in the world ? with disastrous consequences.
Meanwhile, Zoe Hanna is back and Stevie questions her future.
Here's a full collection of the biggest moments coming up:
1. Harry causes a shock accident
Mel is chased in the car by police husband Harry. When she doesn't pick up, Harry leaves her a message promising that he will change.
As Harry's speeding car catches up with her, Mel swerves and crashes down an embankment.
Harry hesitates calling for help and instead heads off to an RTC, leaving Mel for dead.
2. Stevie fights for her future
In the wake of Harry's recent arrest, Stevie is at a MHPS hearing at the hospital.
Charlie assures her that it will be fine, but Stevie is more concerned for Mel's welfare.
At the meeting, Stevie fights her corner and is relieved when she's temporarily cleared for work while the verdict is pending from the disciplinary board.
3. Zoe is back
As previously revealed, Zoe Hanna will be back for two special episodes, as part of Charlie's exit story.
Sure enough, Zoe returns to the ED next week as a locum, much to the surprise of her old friend Dylan.
Sunetra Sarker reprised her popular role for Charlie's final chapter, which will kick off in this episode. Speaking of which?
4. Charlie gets some worrying news
Charlie later receives a phone call ? Mel has gone missing.
He tries phoning her, unaware that Harry has it at the scene of the accident.
Harry ignores it but gets distracted. Troubled civilian Kyle, who was involved in a car pile up, then takes this opportunity to make a hasty getaway but crashes into a gas bottle, causing a huge explosion.
Charlie and the team then ready themselves for the influx from this back at the ED.
5. Stevie makes another mistake
Stevie is bombarded with patients and stress, and the shrapnel wounds remind her of a pipe bomb blast she witnessed as a child.
As the trauma of the past resurfaces again, Stevie fears she will crack under pressure again.
When Kyle is brought in, Stevie is hyper alert and thinks she notices a knife. She immediately jumps into action, but upon emptying his pockets, he reveals a chewing gum in a silver wrapper. Humiliated, Stevie walks off.
6. Charlie lands himself in danger
Unable to shake off his concerns about Mel, Charlie tries to contact her again. He eventually realises that the phone is with Harry, who has been brought in, injured from the blast.
Harry is in a bad way, but Charlie won't give up until he has answers, much to Zoe's concern.
Amid all of this, Charlie stumbles across Kyle in the corridor and realises he has raided the pharmacy for drugs. He challenges Kyle, but things take a dark turn when Kyle ends up stabbing him, leaving Charlie's life hanging in the balance.
7. Jan tries to make amends with Teddy
Jan overhears Teddy telling car crash victim Len that he's soon to be homeless.
Jan later supports Teddy when Len dies in the explosion, but is he ready to to move on from the past?
8. Stevie questions her future
With her confidence at an all-time low, Stevie begins to ponder her future at Holby.
As she confides in Faith about her struggles, Stevie gets the news that she is fit to work.
However, the relief is conflicting for Stevie ? she has been told that she's fit to work, but she definitely doesn?t feel like she is.
