MONDAY

Chas Dingle has been enjoying flirting away with Liam Cavanagh. Their passionate secret rendez-vous have spiced up her life and she's loving having a saucy secret on the side.

But in Emmerdale it's hard to keep anything under wraps and the sneaky lovers are soon under suspicion when Paddy returns to Liam's with Mandy who twigs that the doc has got a woman stashed upstairs!

Mandy and Paddy interrupt Liam and Chas' secret steamy session.

While Chas hides upstairs, desperately hoping her ex-husband doesn't clock her, Liam tries to dissolve the matter, telling Mandy she's right but insisting that his lover is no one they would know.

It's a tense moment but Paddy and Mandy clear off, allowing Chas to come down and prepare to go home when the coast is clear.

The thing is, Liam has something he needs to tell her before she goes and it's not an easy thing to say.

Making the already difficult moment all the harder, the village GP bites the bullet and tells Chas he suspects she may have a lump in her breast.

Given that Chas' mum Faith died of breast cancer, Liam's painfully aware this is terrible news to pass on. As Chas covers her shock, seemingly in denial, Liam urges her to get checked out properly.

Outside, Chas desperately tries to hold back the tears as she scurries home to digest the bombshell.

Elsewhere, Ethan's furious when Aaron reads the signals wrong and tries to kiss the lawyer.


TUESDAY

Paddy Dingle hurts Mandy's feelings

Mandy Dingle loves a gossip and is fizzing with ideas about who Liam Cavanagh is dating.

But when the doc clumsily reveals he's been sleeping with Chas, Paddy's ex-wife, Mandy's left hurt by her partner's jealous reaction.

And it's not just Mandy and Paddy who are all het about up the news.

Chas is furious with Liam for outing their secret and assumes he's also told Paddy about her suspected breast lump.

The doc is quick to allay her feelings, given that anything medical with a doctor is always confidential.

Will Chas be receptive when Liam has another go at pushing her to get checked out so she can find out for sure?

While Mandy chews over Paddy's huff, her mind is taken off the matter when he takes her to a work's do.

Not one to shy from a bold wardrobe choice, Mandy opts for a Liz Hurley inspired 'fit, in a skin-tight velvet number held together by safety pins.

But fun-loving Mandy soon has her bubble burst when Paddy fails to introduce her as his girlfriend and then blames her when another party-goer, Ella (aka ex-Corrie star Paula Lane) causes a scene.

The whole thing only serves to increase Mandy's paranoia about Paddy's feelings for Chas. Can he put her straight or is the couple about to hit a rocky patch?

Elsewhere, Belle's thrown to learn her fianc? Tom has gone ahead and booked a wedding date, and Aaron's chuffed with himself when he persuades Mack to steal another car with him.

WEDNESDAY

Bob Hope is lost in grief over his son Heath's death on New Year's Eve.

Blaming Cathy ? in spite of her insistence she wasn't driving ? Bob has been avoiding his daughter, unable to be around her, fearful for what he might do or say.

But grieving Brenda's had enough of his attitude. Fed up with telling him to believe Cathy, who's sworn them Angelina King was driving, Brenda angrily warns her ex to step up and help his girl who's in a terrible mess.

Can Bob see through the fog of his grief and rage and be there for Cathy who's lost her twin brother?

Charity and Mack are both struggling to process the horror of their ordeal with Harry but feel unable to admit it to each other.

Elsewhere, an encounter at the Hide leaves Ella with a potential job opportunity when she runs into Manpreet.


THURSDAY

Will Emmerdale's Angel King do the right thing as Heath is laid to rest?

A dark day dawns in Emmerdale as the villagers gather for Heath Hope's funeral.

But as Cathy and Brenda muster up the courage to head to the church and say farewell to the teen, Bob just can't do it.

In turmoil over his son's death, he doesn't believe Cathy's denial that she was responsible for the crash and thinks she's trying to pin the blame on Angel King who's denying the crime. It doesn't help that April has confirmed she saw Cathy driving Wendy's car out of the village.

Crumbling, he tells Wendy he just can't face the service.

It falls to Pollard to tell Cathy, who's been staying with him and her mother-figure Brenda, that her father isn't attending.

The teenager puts a brave face on it, determined to be in church for her brother.

The sight of Heath's coffin floors Cathy. But as she breaks down, to her relief she finds her father by her side.

Bob's support doesn't last long. As it dawns on Cathy that her dad still doesn't believe a word she's saying, she tells him she won't be moving home preferring to stay with Brenda who's accepted her side of the story from the off.

As guilt-ridden Angel limps through the churchyard, will the teenager finally do the right thing and admit she was driving?

Elsewhere, Charity's struggling to suppress the trauma of her deadly ordeal with Harry ? which saw her shoot the gangster to save her husband Mack ? and she hasn't been sleeping.

After snapping at the kids, Charity's day goes from bad to worse when the school calls to say her little boy has been fighting.

Charity reels to learn that Moses has been taunted over the rumours that his mum is a murderer. She's gutted to learn how much the ordeal impacting her whole family's life.

Over at Butler's, the rumours have reached Moira too, and to her horror, she learns Isaac started them.

Feeling responsible, she heads over to her sister-in-law's place to apologise. But as the women talk, a loud bang erupts, Charity's triggered?

Concerned for the landlady, Moira tries to console her and finds herself pinned against a wall!

Will Charity find the strength to open up about what she's going through?


FRIDAY

Emmerdale's Rhona Dingle will stop at nothing to be with Ivy

When Rhona was given free rein to look after Ivy she was thrilled.

Having Gus out of the way meant she could get as close as possible to the baby.

Had the grieving dad been in his right mind, he might have thought twice about leaving his ex-wife in charge of Ivy, a baby created from embryos he and Rhona conceived when they were married and trying for kids.

But Gus hasn't been coping at all in the wake of his wife's Lucy's death, the same day she gave birth to Ivy ? and Rhona learned they'd used her fertilised eggs without her consent.

While Gus has returned home to try to put himself back together so he can step up and be there for his newborn daughter, Rhona has been loving doting on Ivy who's been left at Smithy. The whole family has ended up falling for the tot.

With all this time spent bonding with Ivy, Rhona's secretly hoping Gus will never come back to collect her.

How far will Rhona go to keep 'her daughter' in her care? And what is she lying to Marlon about?

Chas is wrongfooted when a solemn Liam says that he felt a lump in her breast. Refusing to talk about it, Chas quickly exits, seemingly in denial.

Meanwhile, Mandy is suspicious.

Elsewhere, Ethan tries to help Aaron, but when Aaron tries to kiss him, a furious Ethan storms off leaving him utterly broken and alone.

Liam accidentally reveals to Mandy and Paddy that he slept with Chas yesterday.

Clearly wrongfooted, Paddy attempts bravado. Liam and Mandy remain awkward ? and Mandy is concerned by the depth of Paddy's irritation at the situation.

Later, Chas confronts Liam for spilling the secret.

Meanwhile, Bob is grief-stricken.

Elsewhere, Belle is surprised to hear that Tom has already booked a wedding date.

Also today, overhearing Jules lambasting his PA, Ella, Mandy consoles her. When Jules makes some more rude comments about Mandy, Ella pours a drink over him.

Brenda gives Bob both barrels, telling him that he needs to step up and support his daughter.

Clearly in torment, Bob mulls over Brenda's words.

Meanwhile, Charity and Mack are both struggling but can't open up to each other over how they are feeling.

Elsewhere, an encounter with Manpreet in The Hide leaves Ella with a potential job opportunity as a receptionist at the new surgery.

Hour-long episode

A loud bang sends Charity into a panic. Moira is concerned to see how much Charity seems to be struggling.

When Moira tries to touch her, Charity snaps and pins her against the wall, clearly in a state of utter distress. Will Moira be able to help Charity?

Meanwhile, the village turns out to pay their respects to Heath. Cathy begins to buckle under the emotional weight of seeing Heath's coffin but is grateful to find a supportive Bob by her side.

In the graveyard, Angel is overwhelmed with guilt. Will she finally confess that she was driving the car the day Heath died?

Elsewhere, Rhona lies guiltily to Marlon.
