    MONDAY

Kim Tate and Lydia have been unlikely friends for a while now and their friendship is really important to the Tate matriarch and Mrs Dingle.

In fact, Lydia turned to Kim for support after she was raped by Craig, and Kim provided her with a shoulder to cry on.

But when Lydia discovered that Kim had been responsible for Craig's death, in a roundabout way, and had lied about it, she was furious with her husband Sam, and Kim.

Lydia fled to her mother's and Kim was upset.

But with Lydia back in the village, Kim's determined not to let their friendship wither and die.

So in Monday's episode, she won't give up on saving their friendship.

Luckily, Kim's stubborn determination to make Lydia her chum once again leads to a tentative thawing between the pair.

Is this the going a new start for the two former friends?

Elsewhere, Charity Dingle has another grandson to add to her ever-expanding family but things are a bit awkward after Oscar snuck away from home to see his biological mum and dad, Gail Loman and Ryan Stocks.

And now everyone's in the know about the fact Oscar's mum, Sophie, has been lying to her son and his biological parents. After his bone marrow transplant, she told Oscar that Ryan and Gail didn't want to see him, while telling donor Gail, and Ryan, that Oscar wasn't interested in getting to know them.

So there's a big surprise for everyone when after his visit the week before, Oscar comes back and announces that his mum Sophie knows all about him coming to Emmerdale.

Oscar's sheepish about being found out, and the family encourage him to go home - just as his mum bursts in!

She's angry, but Ryan's not happy either. He responds in kind, lashing out at Sophie and showing just how hurt he's been.

Charity takes Oscar away to give Ryan, Gail and Sophie some space to chat things through.

Gail's willing to forgive Sophie for lying to them and Oscar, but she reminds her how upset they have been. And she suggests it should be Oscar's decision

Meanwhile, Charity and Oscar are getting to know one another.

She's not sure how much to tell him about Ryan's birth but Mack tells her to keep things simple.

When Oscar asks about Ryan's father, she's vague. But when she tells him her age, the teenager works out the implication and realises what must have happened.

He tells relieved Charity that he's glad his grandfather isn't around.

With bridges built, Sophie and Oscar apologise to one another. She agrees to give him a chance to see Gail and Ryan today.

Can they make this big, blended family work?

Meanwhile, Tracy takes the opportunity to pitch her forest nursery idea to Gabby who eagerly considers it. Empowered, Tracy informs Caleb she intends to buy him out of her business, but his smug scepticism gets under her skin.

    TUESDAY

Emmerdale's Charity Dingle is falling apart in Tuesday's episode

Since the dramatic events of Christmas Day, she's been reliving the moment when she shot Chloe's dad, Harry, dead.

She's not been sleeping, she's having flashbacks - it's been a tough time.

And husband Mack is totally absorbed in his own troubles, having said goodbye to son Reuben in order to keep Charity out of prison.

    It's a tricky business.

Charity gets a visit from DS Jones, who's been investigating the shooting.

She tells her that the police aren't going to charge her - Harry's death has been ruled accidental.

Mack's relieved that his sacrifice hasn't been in vain.

But though Charity's trying to hide how she really feels, by pretending she's also relieved, she's actually struggling.

Poor Charity is in a bad way - can anyone help her?

Elsewhere, Tracy Robinson is determined to get the better of former lover Caleb Milligan and she wants to start by buying him out of her forest nursery business.

Tracy doesn't want to be 'in bed' with Caleb in business if she can't be in bed with him in real life!

To do that, of course, she's going to need another investor and she's got just the perfect person in mind - Gabby Thomas.

Gabby is eager to get involved and they arrange a meeting.

Feeling on top of the world, Tracy tells Caleb about her plan to buy him out. But when he's sceptical, she's annoyed.

Ooh, she really lets Caleb get under her skin, doesn't she?!

Caleb asks to sit in on the meeting, and Gabby is immediately put off when she realises he's involved.

Furious, Tracy storms off to see Moira and asks her for advice. She suggests giving the money back, and seeing if Caleb will take it.

But Tracy's not keen on that! Instead she suggests telling Nate the truth about the affair.

Moira warns her that telling him everything could mean the end of her marriage, and she's taken aback when Tracy implies that's exactly what she's intending.

    Whaaaat?!

Later, Caleb's surprised when defiant Tracy announces she's transferred his investment money back to him.

She's desperate to stop him having an influence over her and she's sure this is the way to do it.

But how will she react when Caleb offers to keep the money on the table for her? He promises it's not over for them yet - but is he right?

    WEDNESDAY

Emmerdale's Jai Sharma has been struggling with his family dramas but in Wednesday's episode (ITV, 7.30pm, see our TV Guide for full listings) it looks like things are changing for the better.

But has he just made a whole new problem for himself?!

It's been one thing after another for poor Jai, since he found out his dad Rishi wasn't actually his dad after all.

After the shock of finding out his biological father was in fact the man he'd thought was his uncle - Amit - Jai was then heartbroken when Rishi fell down the stairs on Jai and Laurel's wedding day and died.

He's also been getting to know his cousin, who's actually really his brother, Suni, and coping with Amit showing up in the village too.

    It's a LOT.

And that's before you add in the fact that Amit was the last person to see Rishi alive. He'd visited his brother and they'd argued at the top of the stairs.

Thanks to their row, Rishi lost his balance and fell. When he realised his brother was dead, Amit left him at the bottom of the stairs.

He'd admitted it to Suni, who's been struggling with the weight of his secret and finally revealed all to Jai after Christmas.

Obviously, short-tempered Jai hit the roof and he's been stewing over it ever since.

But in today's episode there's some hope for him and his brother as Jai tells Suni they might be able to move past their differences.

Suni's delighted, until Jai announces that his only option is to fire his brother from his job at The Hide!

Is that the end of the brothers' reconciliation?

Aaron has a proposition for Mack

Elsewhere, Mack's keen to keep his and Aaron's car-stealing spree going. He pushes Aaron to be more daring in their enterprise.

Aaron agrees and the pair put their heads together and come up with a plan to steal a more expensive car this time.

Will they get away with it?

    THURSDAY

Emmerdale is something of a crime hotspot and in today's episode Aaron Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd join the ranks of village criminals!

The pair have embarked on a car-stealing enterprise, and with their first job having been a success, Mack's got a plan to be more daring and steal a more expensive car next time.

Aaron spots a business contact of Kim's having car trouble. He agrees to leave his motor in the village to be fixed and the pair watch as Cain drives it round to the garage.

The same afternoon, Mack's trying to use the tractor with Moira when it won't start. He feigns ignorance, and Moira phones Cain for help.

Down in the village, Aaron's watching and as soon as Cain leaves the garage, he's ready to break in to nick the car.

Aaron is surprised to see the car without wheels

Aaron's plan goes wrong, though, when he opens the garage and discovers the car with its bonnet open and its wheels off!

    Oops!

It's a race against time to get the car ready to drive away. He warns Mack to keep Cain up at Butlers for as long as possible, but as soon as the tractor is fixed, Cain's keen to get away.

Mack types a message to Aaron, warning him Cain is on his way back, but before he can send it, his phone dies.

Aaron doesn't get the message warning him Cain is coming back

With the car ready to go at the garage, Aaron gets into the driver's seat and... nothing! It won't start.

Frustrated, he jumps out again and is soon working under the bonnet to get it going.

He's unaware Cain's on his way back.

Will Aaron be caught in the act?

Elsewhere Pollard bravely admits his fears about his future with Parkinson's to his friend Rodney.

    FRIDAY

Chas has been single since the death of secret lover Al Chapman and the break-up of her marriage to Paddy.

And her lying and cheating wasn't well received in the village, leading to her being pretty much shunned for a while, and the butt of more than a few jokes, too.

Plus, the only date she's been on since her divorce was with Simon - who actually turned out to be Chloe Harris's gangster dad, Harry.

So she's certainly due some luck in the romance department!

And it looks like this week, she's going to get it!

    With Dr Liam Cavanagh!

Chas and Liam bond and end up kissing

Liam's also not exactly lucky in love! After all, his marriage to Leyla broke up thanks to her drug addiction, and then his STEAMY romance with Wendy ended in tears when her partner Bob found out.

But could they be the answer to each other's prayers?

The pair bond when they chat about their quest to find love and as they share their woes, they realise they're both looking for the same thing.

And then it's only a matter of time before they end up kissing!

Is this the beginning of a hot new romance in the Dale?

Elsewhere, Gabby turns to her mentor Kim Tate for some advice about business.

And she's amused when Kim shares a few choice snippets that prove how ruthless she can be.

Has Gabby decided to adopt Kim's way of working?
