In Paris, Lauren and Penny agree to return to Walford due to the events of the evening.

Meanwhile, Elaine is unsettled when she overhears Cindy quizzing George on whether he's happy with his life choices. Before there's a chance to talk about it, George's parents Gloria and Eddie arrive unexpectedly.

Elsewhere, Zack and Whitney are upset as they must tell Ashton that he's moving to a new foster home.

Also today, the Walford teens mistakenly steal alcohol-free beer from the Minute Mart for their New Year's Eve party.

Gloria enjoys being reunited with Gina and Anna, but the atmosphere between Eddie and Gina is tense. Later, Gloria shares a shocking revelation with George.

Meanwhile, the social worker visits Zack and Whitney to collect Ashton.

Elsewhere, Yolande forces the teens to deliver church leaflets if they want her to keep quiet about the Minute Mart theft. Denzel worries when speculation begins that something is going on between Yolande and Pastor Clayton.

Elaine consoles George when he fills her in on the situation and he breaks down in her arms.

Meanwhile, Whitney confides in Sonia as she continues to struggle over Ashton leaving so soon. At the same time, Zack heads off for a drink with Reiss.

Elsewhere, Denzel deliberately tips hot curry on Pastor Clayton after misinterpreting a situation between the Pastor and Yolande.

Also today, Penny makes a difficult decision after recent events.
