Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours has confirmed another return appearance for Hollywood star Guy Pearce as Mike Young.

The show shared a first look at Mike's next scene in the daily teaser promo that aired at the end of Wednesday's episode (October 25).

In Thursday's visit to Ramsay Street (October 26), Mike will be seen on video call as he catches up with his partner Jane Harris and daughter Sam.

Mike is in high spirits as he greets the pair from his trip to Scotland, but his happiness turns to concern as he spots that Jane is crying.

Pushing for an answer, Mike asks: "What's wrong, Jane?"

The emotional moment airs amid the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the future of Erinsborough High.

The local school, where Jane serves as headteacher, is at high risk of being closed down amid falling pupil numbers.

Jane's one-time friend Terese Willis has exacerbated the situation by pitching to take over the Erinsborough High site with her new retirement village. This controversial proposal is threatening to divide the residents of Ramsay Street.

n Wednesday's episode, Jane was shocked to discover that Terese had offered Karl Kennedy a job, hoping to get him on her side.

Guy Pearce has featured in Neighbours' new season since the launch in September, appearing on video calls and in person.

Mike and Jane were seen on holiday in the UK together last month. These special scenes, filmed on location earlier in the year, culminated in Mike proposing to Jane.

The couple's quality time together ended when Mike continued with the trip while Jane headed back to Erinsborough to help resolve the ongoing school crisis.

At the time, fans wondered whether this was the last they'd see of Mike, but Neighbours' new promo shows that this wasn't the case.

Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach.
