Exclamation Casualty Spoilers 16th September 2023

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cas...n-getin-donna/

Casualty will air another double edition next week (September 16), as Jan heads to Switzerland with Gethin in a hard-hitting, special episode.

In the second visit to the ED, Donna learns her fate at her sentence, while Stevie tries and fails to help Faith.

Here's a full collection of the biggest moments coming up:

    1. Jan and Gethin arrive in Switzerland

Jan and Gethin arrive in Switzerland, ready to go through with their plan.

Jan, wanting to make the most of the time they have together, plans a day trip for her and Gethin, all the while ignoring messages from a worried Teddy.

Jan and Gethin later have a meeting with the doctor at the clinic, who reminds them of their options. The medics explain to Gethin that most people choose palliative care as an alternative to this course of action, but Gethin says he is certain of his decision.

Gethin then organises a picnic for him and Jan together ? taking their relationship full circle. But what will Gethin ultimately decide to do?

    2. Jan faces the police

Later, a police officer knocks at Jan's door.

Teddy admits it was him who called the police, as he was desperate to stop what was happening.

    3. Donna struggles with her uncertain future

Donna arrives home after another night of passion with Max, and struggles to concentrate, knowing her sentencing is looming.

She clashes with her daughter Mia, who wants to know what's going to happen to them if Donna does go to prison.

Donna tries her best to be positive but tries not to make promises that she can't keep.

    4. Stevie tries to support Faith

Stevie is concerned by the mess at Faith's house, but tries to be understanding.

As Faith struggles with the withdrawal programme that Stevie is keeping her on, she becomes increasingly desperate when Stevie insists on reducing her dose.

    5. Donna finally faces reality

At work, Donna goes to see Kerry ? only to find Ashley at her bedside. Ashley opens up to Donna about his fears, explaining that he doesn't know how he is going to look after himself as well as his mum's ongoing needs.

Donna?s apologies don?t cut it and she is asked, for the second time that day, what the future will hold if she goes to prison.

Realising that Ashley is facing the same struggle as her own daughters, Donna heads home to Mia, where she apologises for everything and finally accepts her possible fate.

    6. Faith resorts to desperate measures

Faith turns up at the hospital and tries to persuade Stevie to up her meds.

Stevie remains firm, but Faith begins to plot her next move once left to her own devices.

Faith spots an ambulance with drugs in the back but is caught red-handed by an appalled Iain, who accuses her of being beyond help. Alone, Faith then contacts her dealer.

    7. Stevie makes a devastating discovery

Stevie gets a shock when Faith is brought into the ED, having overdosed.

As the team battle to save Faith, Stevie is devastated.

Stevie eventually admits defeat and acknowledges she can?t give Faith the proper help she needs.

    8. Jodie and Stella have a misunderstanding

As Max struggles with his failing health, Jodie meets up with his mum Stella.

Stella explains she was the one that donated her kidney to Max but that kidney is now failing.

Jodie is left upset, believing that Stella is getting to know her as a donor match for Max and not because she wants a relationship.

    9. Donna learns her fate

At court a nervous Ashley gives his statement, as Donna watches on.

To her surprise, Ashley speaks positively about Donna and praises her for helping him. But what does the future hold for Donna?

Casualty will air these scenes on Saturday, September 16 0n BBC One.
