"Sydney sister duo Dana and Harper have landed in Summer Bay.

"We don't know much about them," Ally Harris, who plays little sister Dana, told confidential.

"We know they've come from Sydney, to this little coastal town. They can really go from hating each other one second to being best friends the next, and some pretty wild stuff happens."

In a case of fact meeting fiction, Jessica Redmayne, 31, and Harris, 26, moved from Melbourne and Perth respectively to live out their teenage dreams on the Logie award-winning soap.

On Sunday night, Home and Away picked up its record ninth Logie for Most Popular Drama series.

"As a young teen I remember Bec Cartwright played Hayley, who lived with Irene," Redmayne, who plays older sister Harper, said.

"I just so desperately wanted to be Hayley and would pretend I was Hayley in the mirror at age 13. It's funny to now work with Lynne McGranger, she's just gold. I adore her."

Harris recalls being "super into" the soapie in its "Chris Hemsworth era".

"I actually met Chris Hemsworth at a Telethon," Harris said. "I'm sure he would've thought 'why am I up this early, talking to these little girls?' It was pretty amazing coming into this world."

The duo, who have backgrounds in theatre and TV, say moving cities and changing jobs in tandem has made the experience lighter.

"Coming in from different parts of Australia, it's been nice to make that transition together," Redmayne said.

Harris' boyfriend now has plans to move to Sydney."

Home and Away has unveiled the first look at two new characters involved in a mysterious storyline.

The soap has confirmed that Jessica Redmayne and Ally Harris will join the Home and Away cast as new sibling characters Harper and Dana.

While viewers will meet Harper and Dana for the first time when they debut on UK screens later in 2023, the sisters actually have a connection to a Summer Bay resident.

Fans will have to tune in to find out exactly why Harper and Dana have come to Summer Bay ? and whether their reunion with a familiar face will be a happy one.

Jessica Redmayne has been acting and dancing since she was a child and is a graduate of the Musical Theatre at Federation University Arts Academy.

She previously starred in the Aussie drama 800 Words and has some soap experience from working on Neighbours as a double for the infamous Fake Dee character in 2020. Other credits include appearing in the legal comedy Fisk and the Prisoner reboot Wentworth in Australia.

Her new co-star Ally Harris also has an impressive professional background, having trained at the prestigious Fontainebleau Conservatory of Music and Drama in France.

Ally's on-screen credits feature appearances in the true-crime series The Claremont Murders and Harrow. Harris is a writer and producer in addition to her acting and has appeared on stage in the touring company of A Midsummer Night?s Dream.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.

Home and Away spoilers follow from Australian pace episodes, which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.

Home and Away has officially confirmed that newcomer Harper Matheson is an old friend of Cash Newman.

Harper's first scenes aired in Thursday's Australian episodes (August 10), as she arrived in Summer Bay alongside her sister Dana.

Harper turned up in the Bay and enquired about Irene Roberts' advertisement searching for a new housemate.

Irene was quick to welcome Harper, although her friend John Palmer was convinced that the new arrival was hiding something.

John's doubts were dismissed by Irene when she learned that Harper had a professional job as a social worker and all of her references checked out.

Harper was also revealed to have a history with Cash, as they've previously worked together professionally on certain cases.

This link to Cash was soon revealed as the main reason for Harper's arrival. Harper begged the local policeman to help her sister Dana, a former nurse who's currently on the run from the law.

Harper explained: "There's a warrant out for her arrest. I know how that sounds, but she's innocent. Her boyfriend threw her under the bus.

"The cops found drugs in their apartment and Ollie blamed Dana. She's lost everything ? her job, her boyfriend, her reputation."

Cash insisted that Dana's best bet was to share her side of the story with the police. When Harper insisted that had already happened but it was no use, Cash agreed to look into the case to see if he could clear Dana's name.

Later, Harper sneaked Dana into her bedroom at Irene's house. She warned Dana to keep a low profile to prevent Irene from finding out she was staying there too, but will this plan pay off?

Home and Away fans in the UK will see these scenes on Channel 5 in September.

Most people who come to Summer Bay are hiding secrets. But newcomer Harper is harbouring a fugitive! In Home and Away this week, Harper (Jessica Redmayne) continues to keep her sister Dana (Ally Harris) hidden at Irene's as she tries to overturn the warrant for arrest.

In recent episodes, Dana revealed that police found drugs at her boyfriend's house and he blamed it all on her. Scared, she took off and it's up to Harper to prove her innocence.

To do that, she turns to old friend Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) to investigate the case. But the policeman is already on thin ice at work and warns that it won't be easy to get the case file. Meanwhile, Dana is getting itchy feet.

"Dana can be impulsive and some past decisions reflect that," Ally tells TV WEEK.

At Irene's, Cash delivers an update: there are in discrepancies in the case but it may take some time to work through it. Dana listens nearby and when she thinks they aren't looking, attempts to text her boyfriend Olly.

Cash almost catches her in the act but Harper's quick-thinking distracts him. When he leaves, Harper loses her cool ? "What is she thinking?!"

"Dana has always been in the backseat with Harper calling the shots and being the protector which can be tricky when their values clash," Ally says. "Dana is trying to carve out some agency for herself."

While Harper pleads with her sister to stay in hiding, Dana wants answers. Before she can be stopped, Dana flees the house, leaving Harper horrified.

Will Dana's reckless behaviour see her get caught?

The showdown between Cash and Madden takes a dangerous turn this week when Dana is arrested.

In Home and Away, Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) has appealed to the Anti-Corruption Board to hear him out.

He knows detective Madden (Jonny Pasvolsky) is dodgy, but can't prove it ? yet.

"After that, it's red flag after red flag."

"I don't think Cash anticipates quite how far Madden is willing to go."

The next day, the situation worsens when Irene (Lynne McGranger) learns about Harper's (Jessica Redmayne) stowaway sister.

Shortly after, Madden arrives on Irene's doorstep demanding to see Harper right now.

The sisters prepare to accept their fate, but Irene takes a stand: she tells Madden to get a warrant or get out.

While Madden schemes with another corrupt colleague, Fletcher (James Biasetto), Cash turns up to lower the tension at Irene's.

Dana contemplates coming clean, but Cash urges them to hang on ? he believes he can expose Madden once and for all.

"Cash simply isn't willing to stand by and witness police corruption," Nicholas says.

"The consequences are irrelevant to him, because he feels so strongly about his course of action."

But for all his efforts, it could be too little too late for the siblings. Madden has secured a warrant and is coming for Harper.

To save her big sister, Dana comes out of hiding and Madden makes his triumphant arrest. Has Dana made a huge mistake?

Dragged into an abandoned warehouse, Dana's life is in the hands of corrupt officer Madden in Home And Away this week.

But what does he want?

In recent episodes, fugitive Dana (Ally Harris) came out of hiding to prevent her sister Harper (Jessica Redmayne) from being arrested for concealing her.

Detective Madden (Jonny Pasvolsky) and colleague Fletcher (James Biasetto) quickly took Dana into custody. But what happens next is chilling.

When policeman Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) and Harper race to the police station to see Dana, Madden and his suspect are nowhere to be seen.

Cash looks at his partner Rose (Kirsty Marillier), both of them realising something is very wrong.

"Cash and Rose are on the back foot from the get-go," Nicholas tells TV WEEK. "But they know they have to act quickly, because everything is beginning to look extremely serious."

Nearby, Madden's true intentions are revealed when he pulls Dana into a warehouse and cuffs her to a chair. Then he orders Fletcher to establish an alibi before leaving for the station.

There, he lies to his police colleagues, telling them Dana escaped. Then, he sends Fletcher an ominous text message: "Do it now."

Fletcher takes a syringe from his bag and approaches a terrified Dana, who screams for help as he grabs hold. Meanwhile Cash and Rose race to find her. Hold on, Dana!
