    Exclamation Dom Everett (Darren Morfitt)

Coronation Street will air a big shock for Stu Carpenter next week, as he is forced to contend with the sudden arrival of his granddaughter Eliza Woodrow's father.
Young Eliza has been living with Stu and his partner, Yasmeen Metcalfe, since November last year, when Stu was granted custody of her after her mum - Stu's daughter - Bridget was sent to prison for murder.
While things have been fairly smooth sailing for the family since Eliza moved in, they will face a difficult time once again this week when Stu and Yasmeen have to break the difficult news to Eliza that her mum has been moved to a different prison further away, meaning that Eliza will see her even less.
The plot continues next week, when Eliza lies to Yasmeen and Stu that she is going to holiday club for the day.
However, Stu soon finds out that there is no holiday club and he worries when he can't find his granddaughter anywhere.
Heading to the precinct to keep searching, he's shocked to find Eliza there talking to a strange man - who turns out to be her dad, Dom Everett (played by actor Darren Morfitt).
Later in the week, Eliza confides in her friend Sam Blakeman that she's worried that her mum might try to stop her from seeing her dad. Meanwhile, Stu calls Bridget at the prison and informs her that Eliza has been in contact with her dad.
Later in the week, with tensions high among the family, Stu apologises to Eliza for the way that he treated her dad, but Eliza is unforgiving.
Trouble ensues again when Stu and Yasmeen return home to find Eliza on the sofa facetiming her dad. Stu quickly loses his temper and a row breaks out.
Will Dom continue to be involved in Eliza's life, or will Stu keep trying to put distance between the father and daughter?
The latest development in Eliza's life isn't the only struggle that Stu has been facing lately, as he has also been experiencing concerns over Yasmeen's close friendship with Roy Cropper.
With Yasmeen and Roy bonding over their shared interests and pub quizzing prowess, Stu has been feeling increasingly insecure and left out of their dynamic.

Coronation Street has hinted at a new villain in the Stu Carpenter and Eliza Woodrow storyline.

Stu has had a rough time lately, notably with the arrival of granddaughter Eliza's father Dom and her reconnection with him.

The relationship has caused tensions, and new scenes set to air next week hint at some villainous antics from Dom after he hears about Stu's financial situation.

Things begin when Yasmeen informs Stu that Zeedan wants to take her to Pakistan for her 70th birthday, though she admits that she doesn't want to leave him at home amid his stress over the Dom and Eliza situation. However, Stu insists that she should go.

Meanwhile, Dom heads to the solicitors and tells Stu and Dee-Dee that they should drop their legal proceedings and come to an agreement, though Stu rebuffs him, telling him that he will see him in court.

Dom tells Stu later in the week that he wants what's best for his daughter, and a shot at getting to know Eliza and being a better father, leaving Stu torn.

Stu and Eliza later meet Dom at the precinct, and Dom suggests ice cream, making out like he has forgotten his wallet.

Eliza tells him that Stu will pay as he has lots of money ? especially after the compensation for his wrongful conviction ? and Dom's ears suddenly prick up.

Will he begin to take an interest in Stu's money, and could Stu be in danger?

Coronation Street has confirmed the return of Dom Everett as part of the Stu Carpenter storyline.

Stu previously bribed his granddaughter Eliza's father Dom with ?10k to stay away from her after discovering that he had a secret estranged family in Germany.

While Dom followed through, Stu's plan quickly came back to bite him after his absence left Eliza devastated. As such, Stu left Dom a message admitting he made a big mistake, later revealing the truth to his partner Yasmeen, leaving her horrified.

In new scenes set to air next week (March 6 and March 8), Yasmeen admits to Stu that she thinks she saw Dom in the precinct, leaving Stu mystified as he wonders why Dom would be back in Weatherfield.

Later on in the week, Dom makes his return known, telling Stu that he wants to return his 10k bribe. He also admits he would rather Eliza not know about his flying visit as it would only upset her.

Will Stu accept the money, and will Eliza learn about her father's return?

Speaking previously about Stu's plot, Coronation Street producer Iain MacLeod said the storyline would be "incredibly poignant" and that the character would make "some incredibly bad decisions".

"Stu will seriously endanger his relationship with Yasmeen," he added to Digital Spy and other media.

"After Geoff and Sharif, Yasmeen has profound trust issues when it comes to men ? and Stu's behaviour around this story will give her, at the very least, serious pause for thought."
