MONDAY


Priya Sharma has come a long way in her recovery from the trauma she experienced during her brush with serial killer Meena Jutla during the maize maze fire in 2021.

The wedding planner may have escaped with her life, but the blaze left her with third-degree burns, and for a long time, Priya was a shadow of her former self.

Priya was left with third degree burns and needed tons of therapy to be able to recover and move on from her awful ordeal.

The horror of her ordeal with Meena comes rushing back to Priya when an event at Take A Vow takes a scary turn when a veil catches light on a candle and whooshes up in flames.

Unable to react, Priya is paralysed by fear as the memories come rushing back. It's Leyla's quick thinking which saves the day but she fails to spot that her best mate has been totally triggered.

Jai meanwhile is totally tuned in to his sister's stress and with Manpreet's help, the pair rushes to Priya's aid.

Later, Leyla reels when an impressed client, Justin, offers her a job in London.

Cain Dingle clashes with his brother Caleb, determined to get shot of him. But the Dingle's younger sibling makes it very clear he's not in the least bit intimidated. Has Cain finally met his match?

In the Woolie, Mary meets up with Joy, a woman she's been chatting to online on a dating app. The OAP is disappointed that the date isn't what she'd hoped it would be.



TUESDAY


The cafe is the scene of an angry teenage outburst as Cathy Hope picks up her brother Heath's guitar and smashes it onto the floor!

The event leaves her dad Bob baffled, and Cathy too, if she's honest with herself.

It all kicks off when Bernice kindly tries to help stroppy Cathy with her revision.


Bernice soon regrets taking the time when Cathy makes some foul comments about the menopause which push the upset beautician to leg it.

Brenda is furious with Cathy and as a row erupts and when Heath gets involved, Cathy flips.

A huge argument kicks off at Take A Vow, too.

Leyla's aware she needs to decide if she's going to take the job she's been offered in London but the decision gets taken out of her hands when Priya ends up being offered it instead!

It's an innocent move on Priya's part. She has no idea that Leyla has been approached by Justin, who is impressed when Priya opens up to him about why she ran off in bits from the event in Take A Vow.


Priya accepts a job in London not realising that Leyla had also been offered it.

When Leyla finds out what's happened, she lashes out at her supposed best mate, accusing her of sabotage!

It's not the first time Leyla has turned on her. Will Priya forgive her?

Having had a dismal date, Mary picks herself and dusts herself off as she prepares for another. When the woman fails to show will the lonely OAP give up on her quest to find love?


WEDNESDAY


Cathy Hope has been causing dramas, and Bernice Blackstock is about to find out why.

Another saga kicks off for baffled parents Bob and Brenda who are shocked when they get a call from the school to say Cathy ran out of a mock exam and vanished.

It's Bernice who clocks the missing teen who's returned and is making a beeline for home.

Following Cathy inside Connelton Cottage, Bernice finds her washing her skirt in the kitchen sink and the penny drops.

Mustering her mum skills, Bernice listens as mortified Cathy explains she's having really heavy periods, which is why she had to leave school.

Bernice urges the teenager to talk to village GP Manpreet who will be able to help.

Cathy adds that she's been lying to her dad, Bob, to get him off her case as she's just too embarrassed to talk to him about her problem.

Will Bernice do the talking for her?

Elsewhere, David Metcalfe's also having a tough time of it and things are about to get worse.

The failed shopkeeper is sent reeling when his ex, Priya, tells him she's accepted a job in London and will be taking their daughter Amba to live there.

David is far from happy when Priya says she's taking their daughter Amba out of the village as she's accepted a job in London.

Already feeling as if his world is rumbling around him, David decides he's going to take control. What does he mean by that?

Priya's decision upsets another man in her life as Rishi reels when he hears his beloved daughter is leaving and has no plans to include her old dad in the move down south.



THURSDAY


OK, so we can all agree that David Metcalfe isn't have the best of times.

But what he does when another knock comes his way is mind-blowing?

At the heart of the saga is Priya's decision to take Amba away from the village to start a new life in London.

David just can't handle the thought of not seeing his little girl every day and has flipped.

For the shopkeeper it's just yet another blow on top of Jacob being stabbed, splitting with Victoria, having to sell his house and failing business, and losing his dad Pollard's respect.

Having arranged to take Theo and Amba out for the day, alarm bells ring when the dad fails to return home. As time ticks on, Priya reflects on the row they had about her move and decides he's kidnapped their child.

Priya fears David has kidnapped Amba and wants to call the police. Jacob and David do their best to stall her, hoping he will reappear?

Queue Jacob and Pollard who, hoping David will resurface, do all they can to stop the mum calling 999.

When Leyla gets wind of David's flit, she sets off to find him and soon tracks him down to a remote cottage.

David's taken aback to see her at the door but he doesn't want to listen to Leyla's advice and instead, he locks her in the bathroom!

Meanwhile, back in the village, Priya's had enough of waiting and picks up the phone?

Is David about to get collared by the police ON TOP of everything else? Where will his downfall end?

Elsewhere, the dating world isn't proving much fun for Mary who turns to married Kim for advice.

Mary has grown close to Kim Tate and turns to her for advice about finding love later in life.

After Kim urges her to harness her inner confidence, will it be third time lucky for the single OAP?

Matters of the heart are on Gabby Thomas' mind too.

She's thrilled when she finally gets Nicky to admit he has feelings for her but frustration kicks in when the Home Farm manny refuses to cross the line and kiss her. Again.



FRIDAY


After disappearing into thin air with Theo and Amba and then effectively taking Leyla hostage, David Metcalfe has a lot of making up to do.

His bad decisions, knee-jerk reactions and recklessness has caused problem after problem and now all this.

Can David make things right? Does the struggling dad need psychological help?

At Home Farm there's a hullabaloo going on as something of Will's has gone missing and rather than blame himself, Kim's husband points the finger at the staff, accusing Sam Dingle of being behind the 'theft'.

Has someone really stolen from Will?

Will Taylor is furious and believes Sam Dingle has stolen from him. Has he?

Over at Smithy it's Marlon's turn to be there for his mother-in-law Mary who's in need of reassurance. The chef is only too happy to support the OAP who helped him on the daily last year when his life was decimated by a stroke.

Also today, Caleb is unperturbed by Cain's intimidation tactics, and makes it very clear he's going nowhere.

Leyla is left stunned when Priya reveals she has been offered the job with Justin's company.

Priya defends herself, explaining that she didn't even know Justin had offered Leyla the job, but Leyla accuses Priya of sabotage.

Meanwhile, in the cafe, Bernice tries to help Cathy with her revision. Brenda is furious when Bernice leaves the cafe upset and offended by Cathy's hurtful comments about the menopause.

Bob is at the end of his tether as he confronts Cathy, but when Heath butts in, Cathy loses it and violently smashes his guitar on the floor. Cathy heads off, confused and embarrassed.

Meanwhile, Rishi is crestfallen.

Elsewhere, Bernice catches Cathy washing her skirt in the sink. Opening up a little, overwhelmed Cathy feels ashamed of her heavy periods and explains this is the reason why she missed her exam.

A pensive Cathy is relieved and grateful for Bernice's support and promises to talk with Manpreet about ways to help manage her symptoms.
