Emmerdale Christmas and New Year 2022 schedule
Emmerdale has confirmed its scheduling details for the Christmas and New Year period.
The ITV1 soap is lining up plenty of drama for fans to enjoy over the festive season, but as with every year, there'll be some changes to airdates and timeslots.
As Christmas and New Year both fall on weekends this year, there'll be extra editions on days that the show doesn't usually air.
These include an hour-long episode on Christmas Day, focusing on the arrival of Cain Dingle's long-lost brother Caleb.
A 30-minute edition has also been scheduled in for New Year's Eve, although there won't be a New Year's Day special this time.

Emmerdale's schedule returns to normal on Monday, January 2, when the show returns to its nightly 7.30pm timeslot.
The exception is Friday, January 6, when the show airs in an earlier 7pm slot due to ITV1's live coverage of the Manchester United vs Everton game.
Emmerdale bosses recently announced the casting of former Waterloo Road star Will Ash as Cain's brother Caleb, who turns up on Christmas Day.
Will recently said: "I'm thrilled to be joining such an iconic show. Emmerdale is packed full of fantastic actors and I'm really looking forward to working alongside them.
"Caleb is a fantastically complex character and I can't wait to get stuck in."
Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw added: "We are absolutely delighted to welcome Will Ash to the village. It's fantastic to have such a high calibre and immensely talented actor join our wonderful team.
"Arriving on screen on Christmas Day, Caleb has to undoubtedly be the most unexpected and shocking Christmas gift Cain and Chas have ever received! Calm and in control, rich and successful, at first glance Caleb is everything his brother isn't, but will the pair find they have more in common than they thought?
What secrets from the past will come back to haunt them and how will the rest of the family react when Caleb strolls into town? His arrival certainly promises to shake things up for the Dingles and make 2023 start off with a huge bang!"
