Hollyoaks' recently-released winter trailer offered a first look at the Christmas episodes, confirming some worrying scenes ahead involving the village's youngest villain Bobby Costello.

Instead of writing to Santa, Bobby makes a sinister list containing the names of the two people he's responsible for seeing off ? his stepdad Sylver McQueen and serial killer Silas Blissett.

As Bobby draws a picture of Goldie as an angel and makes a sinister threat to her, it seems that she's in danger of becoming his next victim.

Meanwhile, Bobby's mum Mercedes will continue to grow closer to her new love interest Felix Westwood.

Jennifer Metcalfe, who plays Mercedes, exclusively told Digital Spy recently: "It's a really good Christmas episode. There's a gear change for Mercedes. There might be a man involved, so watch this space."

A McQueen wedding will also be taking place around the Christmas period, as Prince prepares to marry Olivia Bradshaw and his twin brother Hunter returns for the occasion.

Love could also be in the air for Sienna Blake and Ethan Williams after months of chemistry between the partners-in-crime.

Matthew James-Bailey, who plays Ethan, recently told Digital Spy: "Some of the stuff we've been filming is very, very nice. The chemistry between Ethan and Sienna is also very nice. I feel like you'll see some fallout between them very soon but also a lot of nice stuff as well. I ship them!

"You're going to see some very wholesome content for Ethan and Sienna over Christmas, that's what I would tease."

Hollyoaks star Emily Burnett has left the show after a year of playing Olivia Bradshaw.

Olivia's final scenes air on E4 on Wednesday, December 28, but the episode is already available to watch via the show's Christmas box set on All 4.

Olivia will depart the village on her wedding day to Prince, which descends into disaster thanks to her betrayal with his twin brother Hunter.

The Channel 4 soap announced a shock Christmas storyline last week, confirming that Hunter and Olivia will spend the night together.

The betrayal takes place on the week that Olivia is due to marry Hunter's brother Prince.

Hunter has arrived back in Hollyoaks to attend the wedding. Digital Spy exclusively revealed Theo's return as Hunter in October.

Crucially, Hunter was completely unaware of Olivia's identity when he slept with her, as she deliberately withheld the truth from him.

Guilt-ridden, Hunter gently tried to talk Prince out of tying the knot with Olivia, but to no avail.

Unable to stay quiet, Hunter ended up interrupting the ceremony ? telling everyone that Olivia tricked him into sleeping with her.

Olivia tried to convince Prince that she acted out of jealousy, explaining her hurt that none of her family bothered to turn up to her big day.

Prince began to thaw towards Olivia as she opened up about her troubled childhood and ultimately decided to go through with the ceremony anyway.

Although Prince did his best to move on from what had happened, he snapped during the reception when Olivia gave a speech about what a perfect couple they are.

Finally seeing the light, Prince stood up and gave a speech of his own, publicly revealing for the first time just how much Olivia has controlled him and their entire relationship.

With Prince insisting he wanted nothing more to do with her, Olivia decided to cut ties with the village completely ? even telling the McQueens what she truly thought of them all.

After explosive run-ins with both Nancy and Goldie, Olivia eventually departed Chester for good.

Emily joined the show as part of Prince's return story in July 2021.
