Former Coronation Street star Jack James Ryan could be returning to the show.
The 27-year-old actor, who played Jacob Hay on the cobbles for two years between 2021 and 2023, might be making a shock comeback as Lauren Bolton?s secret boyfriend.
Viewers will know that Lauren (Cait Fitton) has been hiding the identity of her ?rich? boyfriend from her friends for weeks, and it?s now been teased that the reason behind that could be because it?s Jacob, who wants to keep a low profile following previous death threats from his villainous father Damon (Ciaran Griffiths).
It?s rumoured that Jacob?s return will tie in with the current storyline involving Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor), Damon and Sarah Platt (Tina O?Brian).
Adam is currently desperate to keep Damon away from his estranged wife Sarah as he knows how dangerous he is, and he?s teamed up with Damon?s brother Harvey to achieve this.
Harvey has hired some thugs to run Damon out of Manchester, but whether his plan works remains to be seen in upcoming episodes.
Jacob?s potential return may also coincide with Simon Barlow?s (Alex Bain?s) exit from the show after a 15-year stint, although nothing has been confirmed by show bosses as yet.
