Faye has been feeling rotten since conniving Ray charmed and manipulated her for his own gains in Coronation Street and she slept with him in a hotel room after he lured her into a trap. Since discovering the truth about Ray, Faye ended up being threatened but he once again manages to get under skin. However when she tries to evade his sleazy moves, things turn extremely serious and she is under attack, with Ray clearly intending to rape her in terrifying scenes. Lights are out after one of Ray?s cranes has lost control and smashed into a substation.

Coronation Street confirms Gary Windass switches sides in Ray Crosby plot

Coronation Street has confirmed that Gary Windass will turn against Ray Crosby in upcoming scenes, having previously been secretly working alongside the villain on his plans to buy up and demolish the Street.
In scenes set to air this month, Gary's (Mikey North) adoptive younger sister Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) will be left traumatised when Ray (Mark Frost) crosses the line, inviting her for a drink in his office which results in her running away in tears with her blouse torn.
A furious Gary arrives just as Faye is fleeing, and he promptly withdraws his plans to sell Underworld to Ray.
Ray's accomplice Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) tries to persuade Gary to reconsider his choice but Gary is adamant that he won't do business with Ray anymore because he's a sex pest, which leaves Debbie frustrated.
Ray later finds Faye sitting alone in Victoria Gardens and she accuses him of trying to rape her.
When Gary's wife Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) arrives, she quickly sends Ray away and begs Faye to report Ray to the police before Gary gets to him.
But Faye is afraid of her earlier history with Ray being revealed. Faye was previously coerced into sleeping with Ray after he suggested that she could lose out on a new trainee manager job if she didn't.
Worried about what manipulative Ray could say about this past encounter, and not necessarily understanding that this was assault, Faye refuses to report him to the police.
Later on, Gary heads off with David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) and Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) to track down Colin, the water board engineer who Ray bribed to investigate the sinkhole in David's garden.
David and Abi report that Colin seems to have vanished and a smug Ray relishes in the group's frustration.
But with Gary now against Ray, and viewers aware of Gary's darker side, should Ray be so smug?
Ray's storyline will come to a head during the soap's 60th anniversary celebrations, as residents including Ken Barlow (Bill Roache) and Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) come together to try to stop his demolition plans.
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, December 14 and Wednesday, December 16 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
