A couple of articles from TV WEEK:

"Nathan's dark past has been hanging over him since arriving in Erinsborough and this week the truth about it comes out to everyone including Bea, who he's been dating.

As a kid, Levi was attacked by a group of young men, while in grandmother Sheila's care. Nathan was in that group and has now returned to make peace with the people he hurt.

Levi writes an emotional letter to Nathan in order to put the past behind them. Sheila wants to feel the closure for herself, so she organises to meet Nathan to see if he's changed for the better.

Things take a turn when Levi and Sheila bump into Nathan and Bea and discover everyone's connections. "Bea in infuriated and mortified by the fact Nathan left her with so many questions about why he never spoke to her after their date and then she realised who he was!" Bonnie explains. "It becomes too much for her to handle and she walks away from Nathan and Levi for the time being.""

And Thursday 19th's ep is a special episode for International Men's Day:

    "Man to Man

International Men's Day gave Neighbours a special opportunity, says Executive Producer Jason Herbison.

What is the International Men's Day special about?

The aim of International Men's Day [on November 19] is to celebrate and encourage positive male role models and to raise awareness of issues that men face. We had storylines involving our male characters already in motion and it felt natural for them to converge in this episode. We also had a great opportunity to tell parallel stories with two different generations of the cast.

    Which social issues are covered?

We touch on mental health, toxic masculinity, same sex parenting, relationship pressures and men supporting each other. Some of the material is confronting but there are uplifting moments too.

What do you hope viewers learn or get out of this episode?

I don't want it to be difficult viewing, but I hope that it's thought-provoking. The truth is that society puts pressure on us according to gender, which results in certain behaviours.

What was your favourite part of this episode?

The episode was supposed to be filmed at an incredible house in the Dandenongs [35km east of Melbourne]. However, the pandemic meant we had to relocate everything to the backlot at short notice. I was so proud to see the cast and crew come together to complete the episode under challenging circumstances. Scott Major did an incredible job directing.

Digital Spy article on the special all-male episode for International Men's Day:

Neighbours announces all-male episode for International Men's Day
Hopefully people can now stop asking, "Why isn't there an International Men's Day?"

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...s-day-episode/

Neighbours has announced that it is airing an all-male episode for International Men's Day.

International Men's Day has been taking place on November 19 since the 1990s, and aims to raise awareness and education on issues like male suicide, toxic masculinity, health, diversity among men, and positive male role models.

The Australian airing of the episode will take place on the day itself, while Channel 5 will air the episode on Thursday, December 10.

We don't know too much about what the episode will contain, but some of the biggest male-led stories on the Aussie soap this year have been Shane Rebecchi's drug addiction, and David Tanaka and Aaron Brennan's attempts to start a family of their own.

Neighbours producer Jason Herbison is quoted as saying: "After the success of our all-female episode for International Women's Day last year, I wanted to do an episode surrounding the male characters. It struck me as an opportunity to explore some important social issues, such toxic masculinity and mental health.

"Two major storylines come to a head and ultimately we see our male characters supporting each other as they navigate some major challenges in their lives."

And of course, it will hopefully stop people going, 'If there's an International Women's Day, why isn't there an International Men's Day?'

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours takes a break for a month in December, C5 will probably continue to keep airing episodes and will probably catch up by the time it starts airing in Aus again.

No, Neighbours is all year round now, at least in Australia. It continues through Christmas, there is no longer a six week break. H&A still has one, though.

It's the result of a deal that Channel 5 made with FremantleMedia to produce extra episodes each year: https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...ll-year-round/.
