Exclamation Corrie Spoilers 31st August to 4th September 2020

Monday 31 August 2020 at 19:30 on ITV

Scott and a nervous Johnny discuss the crime they committed over 40 years ago.

Later, Jenny invites Scott to stay for dinner. Over dinner, Scott regales Jenny with tales of his and Johnny's younger days. Jenny's highly amused, while Johnny squirms.

Meanwhile, in a panic, Daniel calls at the office and asks Adam to get himself down to the police station as his friend Nicky was involved in a fracas at the Bistro and needs representation.

Adam calls at the police station, only to discover Nicky was released without charge. Will he find out the truth about who she really is?

Later, Nicky is touched when Daniel explains that she helps with his grief.

Elsewhere, Alya's horrified when Geoff turns up for work at Speed Daal. Alya orders him to get out, but Geoff points out that legally he has every right to be there and she'd better get used to it. When Geoff reveals that he has applied for an alcohol licence, Alya's furious and points out that he needs Yasmeen's permission too.

Also today, having returned from their meeting, Abi thanks Peter for his support. Debbie watches from a distance, with her suspicions heightened.

Finally, as Sean closes down the missing persons website, Billy spots something.

Alya is furious to find an alcohol delivery on the doorstep of Speed Daal and refuses point blank to let Geoff buy her out of the business.

Geoff also decides to sabotage the restaurant by cancelling staff shifts, leaving Alya struggling alone with takeout orders. She sees red, throwing everyone out and smashing the place up in a frenzy. What will happen when Geoff and Tim arrive?

Meanwhile, in the cafe, Nina tells David that Shona always seems more upbeat when he's around. Buoyed by her words, David arranges to take Shona for a walk later but it doesn't go quite to plan.

Elsewhere, a stressed Dev looks at the pile of unpaid bills and wonders how they're going to manage. Sensing there's something bothering him, Asha offers to do a shift at the kebab shop. A disgruntled Cathy confides in Asha that Dev has reduced her hours at the kebab shop.

Also today, Daniel apologises to Ray for causing a scene in the bistro. Daniel calls Nicky and persuades her to call at the flat for a drink just as friends.

Geoff plays the victim, but when Ryan tells Tim that Geoff has been undermining Alya for months, Tim starts to wonder if his dad is as innocent as he is making out.

Later at home, Tim lets slip to Sally about the CCTV camera. Horrified, Sally tells Tim to open up his eyes and see Geoff for what he really is.

Meanwhile, Daniel admits to Adam how he has been paying Nicky to dress up as Sinead so he could pretend she's still alive, but from now on they're just going to be friends. Adam intercepts Nicky outside the flat and, bungling her some cash, asks her to stay away from Daniel.

Elsewhere, Shona's upset, aware that her behaviour is unacceptable but equally aware that it's beyond her control. David assures her that she's improving all the time.

Also today, Mary and Cathy discuss Dev's money problems after Cathy reveals her hours have been cut.

Finally, Sean continues to fret about Todd.

The application for an alcohol license would need Alya's support as well. So there is absolutely no chance one would be granted. If Geoff starts to sell alcohol on the premises she should just go to the police and tell them he is illegally selling alcohol.

I suppose it would be a risk, but if it's one of the owners informing on the other, I don't see why they would. They should just arrest Geoff.
