When Nicolette discovers a mysterious key in Jane's garden clogs, her intuition warns her something sinister is at play in this week's Neighbours.

Puzzled by the key, Nicolette's (Hannah Monson) subconscious is triggered by a photo of her ex-girlfriend Kiri (Gemma Bird Matheson), which causes her to investigate a particular name ? Sasha ? that might be linked to the unexplained key.

"Sasha is the leader of Kiri's church," Hannah, 31, tells TV WEEK. "Nicolette never trusted him and, wanting to convince Kiri he was a bad person, swayed him into cheating on his wife with her."

Things get weirder when Nicolette's friend Byron (Xavier Molyneux) discovers another secret key hidden under Nicolette's front doormat.

"Nicolette is uneasy and worried that this dark period in her history is coming back to haunt her," Hannah says.

The key has on it the address of an apartment in Melbourne's Docklands. Fearful, but needing to know what's going on, Nicolette finds a deserted apartment with a bag of lingerie in the middle of the room. Who is taunting her?

"The lingerie was a bit of a threat directed at her promiscuity," Hannah says. "Nicolette knows what it means and feels threatened." Is this mystery stalker simply sending a message or is Nicolette in danger's way?

Neighbours has revealed more trouble for Nicolette Stone later this month as Sasha McLain arrives in Erinsborough.

Nicolette comes face-to-face with her past when she's reunited with Sasha, who has been frequently mentioned in recent episodes of the show.

New spoiler pictures for Tuesday, January 30 show Sasha catch up with Nicolette outside Harold's Caf?.

The meeting appears to be a friendly one, as Sasha warmly greets Nicolette before they sit down for a chat.

Despite this, Nicolette seems unlikely to welcome Sasha's arrival. The official teaser synopsis for the episode reads: "Nicolette is surprised by an unwanted visitor."

To make matters worse, Sasha's ruthless estranged wife Veronica watches the conversation from afar and doesn't seem pleased by what she witnesses.

Could this push Veronica into plotting revenge against Nicolette once more? The scenes air as part of a high-stakes week of episodes for the show, so anything is possible.

Neighbours' David Tanaka, Aaron Brennan and Nicolette Stone all receive a worrying threat next week as new villain Veronica McLain turns even nastier.

Nicolette takes drastic action as she hopes to get Veronica out of her life for good, but her latest decision only makes matters worse.

Veronica blames Nicolette for her split from her husband Sasha and his subsequent disappearance. Since arriving on our screens earlier this month, she has been putting pressure on Nicolette to track down Sasha.

So far, Veronica has shown what she's capable of by briefly abducting Isla Tanaka, as well as distributing private images of Nicolette to humiliate her.

Next week, Nicolette sees a light at the end of the tunnel when Sasha offers to meet her. Nicolette tells Sasha that Veronica has been stalking her, so she needs him to get in touch with his ex to give her the closure she needs.

This suggestion goes down badly with Sasha, who's unsure whether he wants to see Veronica again.

Sasha changes the subject by urging Nicolette to admit that there was a genuine connection between them. Nicolette denies that it was anything more than a scheme to her, but there's a sense that she may not be telling the truth.

Sasha ultimately agrees to contact Veronica and clarify that he didn't sleep with Nicolette, hoping this will be enough to convince her to back off.

Nicolette breathes a sigh of relief, but she's not celebrating for long as Veronica soon turns up again.

Veronica confronts Nicolette, David and Aaron, revealing that Sasha emailed her to reveal that he has gone into deeper hiding after Nicolette tipped him off over her obsessive behaviour.

Blaming the trio for this, Veronica bitterly vows to make Nicolette, Aaron and David pay.

Aaron and David try to take their mind off the drama by organising some time alone in the pool at the share house, their old home.

The couple reflect on old times and there's a joyful moment when David reveals that he wants to expand their family.

Neighbours bosses recently revealed that Nicolette, Aaron, David, Leo Tanaka and Krista Sinclair will all head off on holiday together later this month, with the events during the break culminating in a tragedy.

Could Veronica play a role in the big drama to come?

Dont really care about DAVID so no loss there. Will leave a mess behind for LEO, PAUL, AARON & NICOLETTE. Wonder if NICOLETTEs involvement with VERONICA will have anything to do with it?? I do like that she is hanging out with PAUL a fair bit. Like the dynamics of their friendship.

They do have to do something with MIKE. How many more ZOOM calls can they do ? Time to kill that relationship. Not sure if MIKE dies.

There is a shortage of characters on the show. Need a bigger cast to create better SLs. Its been disappointing so far. Only real interesting SL for me was the WYD with JJAY. Still think ANDREW could be, though PAULs name has come up now. Another child, seriously?? I hope not.

Neighbours fans will see Nicolette Stone reach breaking point next week after Aaron Brennan flees from Erinsborough.

Nicolette feels burdened by the responsibility to be strong for everyone else, as the emotional aftermath of David Tanaka's death continues.

Show bosses have revealed that Aaron will do a disappearing act following his husband's recent funeral, leaving Nicolette with the sole responsibility of looking after their child Isla.

While everyone else starts to worry about Aaron's absence, Nicolette takes a harsher stance and struggles to feel any sympathy.

Although Nicolette understands that Aaron is acting out of grief, she struggles to forgive him for abandoning their family. She also resents having to be the one who explains Aaron's disappearance to Isla.

Isla becomes troubled by Aaron not being around, especially so soon after David's death. In an emotional moment, the youngster expresses fears that Nicolette might suddenly disappear too.

Nicolette's mum Jane Harris steps in to take over, giving her daughter some much-needed time and space to decompress.

For the first time since David's death, Nicolette finally releases her own feelings of grief as she breaks down.

Hannah Monson, who plays Nicolette, recently told Digital Spy: "David's death totally shatters Nicolette's world. David is what made her feel safe, he's the rock.

"I think Nicolette has issues feeling like she belongs and like she's doing things right ? if you think about the baggage that she has from her past and how she didn't feel like she fitted in with her family.

"Now, I think she finally has this family that feels stable and she belongs there, and then the person who knows all the sensible things and keeps them on track suddenly disappears and all this weight is put onto her that I don't think she ever anticipated."

Neighbours airs these scenes on Wednesday, February 21.

Id love to see NICOLETTE become this strong independent women. Why cant PAUL take her under his wing??
Love the chemistry between PAUL and this new version of NICOLETTE played by HANNAH! The two actors play really well off each other. Writers should strengthen their bond and give them a great SL involving business and growth. NICOLETTE can be the path to redemption for PAUL.
