Some Neighbours articles from this week's TV WEEK:

"Dipi?s husband Shane and Pierce's wife Chloe find out the devastating truth about their affair. Pierce's foe Nicolette, orchestrates the discovery.

Chloe is completely blindsided. As far as she knew, they were working on getting their relationship on track. Chloe is devastated Pierce would do this at all, let alone after her traumatic miscarriage. She feels embarrassed and betrayed. She doesn't even want to listen to his explanation.

Things are no better for Dipi, who blurts the truth to Shane after the secret is out. Shane's first instinct is to disbelieve the truth. It takes him a good while to process the revelation. After the initial shock, Shane is devastated but is still willing to try to repair the damage done to his relationship. Unfortunately, Dipi is much less inclined to talk about it or even fix anything.

Will Chloe or Shane find a way to forgive their partners or are two marriages about to end?"

"When Levi's given a chance to meet the man who was part of a traumatic attack on him on as a child, he decides to go ahead.

Levi is tired of his past following him everywhere and thinks meeting his attacker will offer him some much needed peace of mind.

Unfortunately, he's the same man Levi's crush, Bea, is going on a date with. Levi is yet to join the dots that his attacker Nathan is trying to woo Bea. He knows he's missed the boat with her but won't be pleased when he finds out who she's dating.

He is very heartbroken but he only wants what he thinks is best for the person he cares about."

"Dipi and Shane's son Jay arrives in Ramsay Street this week, bringing the family some much needed joy. But does he know about the bombshell that's just hit his parents?

Jay's return is both a delight and a concern to Shane. It's a delight because he loves his son and misses him terribly when he's away. And it?s a concern because Jay's presence serves only to highlight the damage that both he and Dipi have wreaked on their family."

Not sure if there is any truth in this of course, but ever since they announced that the character of Pierce was being recast, there has been a lot of speculation that Pierce will be killed off............we will see.

A bit tired of Neighbours killing off so many characters. Except the ones that deserve it like Flynn. It's such a downer.

I'm just getting tired of Neighbours, it seems to have lost it's way, and has just become tiresome. I miss the good old days when it had its funny, silly moments. And no, Jane and Karl's hording doesn't cut it.

Now it just has silly moments that aren't funny and take you out of the show.

They have a story that starts at A and ends at Z, and everything in between needs to be filled in however possible - doesn't matter if it fits the character or even makes logical sense (or even, let's say, emotional sense).

Things like Toadie cheating on Sonya was out of character for a guy we've seen for 20yrs.
Dipi deserting Shane during his addiction after being so supportive of Sonya.
Dipi accepting the necklace from new Pierce after he said Chloe didn't want it - wow, how's that for making your mistress feel special. I struggle to believe 'the other woman' would want a gift that was rejected by the man's wife.

Sure there are others. The first one I listed sticks out most. All of these drive the story forward but takes away from the character they built up. Feels very short-term. Week to week, story to story and reset afterwards expecting audiences to do the same thing.
