Exclamation Holby City Spoilers 14th April 2020

Next week on Holby City, Zav is determined to expose Cameron's killer secret, while Essie begins her cancer treatment and Nicky gets a heart-stopping opportunity.

Here are the seven biggest moments to look out for:

    1. Zav fights back against Cameron

Zav's one-man mission to expose Cameron's secret will take centre stage in next week's dramatic episode, which will see his career – and relationship – hang by a thread.

Zav has become convinced that Cameron is dangerous in recent weeks, but it's fast becoming apparent that his endeavour could cost him everything.

On the day of his disciplinary hearing, Zav is determined to prove that Cameron killed Evan, but will he gather enough evidence to bring the doctor down?

    2. Cameron plans his next move

With the net closing in on him, Cameron is forced to think on his feet once again. With Zav going to extreme lengths to prove that his nemesis is not to be trusted, Cameron's world crumbles as he realises he could be fighting a losing battle.

Determined to save his own skin, Cameron initially attempts to appeal to Zav's soft side as he explains he only acted in Chloe's best interested. But with Zav refusing to listen to his excuses, is the game finally up for Cameron?

    3. Donna is left devastated

Sadly, Zav's determination to unearth Cameron's secrets could cost him his relationship with Donna for good.

The couple have spent the last few weeks apart, but Donna will make a final attempt to resolve her issues with Zav when she learns he's at the hospital ahead of his hearing.

Putting her heart on the line, Donna questions Zav over the future of their relationship – only to be left further disturbed by his growing obsession with Cameron.

Devastated, Donna begs him to put it to one side and focus on patching things up with her instead. Will Zav listen?

    4. Essie begins the fight of her life

Having recently discovered that her cancer had returned, Essie will prepare for her first round of chemotherapy.

Still determined to keep the news to herself, Essie instructs her partner Sacha not to let the wider team know what's going on.

Although Sacha begs Essie to change her mind, she is resolute in her decision to tackle this in private.

    5. Nicky takes a patient’s life in her hands

After a tricky few weeks, Nicky will be ecstatic when Jac approaches her with one of the biggest opportunities in her career to date.

Overseen by Jac, Nicky is given the chance to carry out a challenging heart transplant. Despite her initial enthusiasm, Nicky becomes overwhelmed in surgery when the reality of the situation hits home, but will she hold it together?

    6. Max finds more support in Guy

Following the surprise revelation that they are a couple, Guy will once again step up to support a struggling Max next week.

As Max's problems continue, she will start to crack under the pressure of holding the hospital together. After finally agreeing to meet Fletch halfway over the ongoing nursing crisis, Max is faced with another huge challenge that threatens to overwhelm her completely.

At the end of a difficult day, Max offloads her problems onto a supportive Guy, but will their relationship survive his impending return to the hospital?

    7. Essie reveals her sad news

When Fletch becomes irritated by Essie's refusal to work late, Sacha finds himself unable to keep quiet.

After informing Fletch of what's really going on, Essie eventually makes the brave decision to tell her colleagues that her cancer has returned. But how will they react and will they support her?

Holby City airs these scenes on Tuesday, April 14 at 8pm on BBC One.

Holby City is the latest continuing drama impacted by the lockdown.

The BBC One series had announced a series of huge storylines set to play over out over the next month, but will now change its schedule beginning next week.

A spokesperson for the BBC confirmed to Digital Spy that Holby City will be going on an extended hiatus following Tuesday's episode (April 14), until it returns with new episodes at some point later this year.

Next Tuesday's episode will be action-packed in the aftermath of John Michie's shocking return as Guy Self, as he provides support for Max McGerry (Jo Martin) while she struggles to hold the hospital together.

Viewers will also see Cameron Dunn's (Nic Jackman) killer secret and his job both under threat, while Essie Harrison (Kaye Wragg) tells her colleagues the tragic news about her cancer returning.

Back in March, the BBC confirmed that Casualty, Holby City and Doctors had all been forced to halt filming over health concerns for the casts and crews working on all three shows.

"It has been decided that filming on all BBC Studios continuing dramas will be postponed until further notice," the BBC said in a statement at that time. "The decision was made after the latest government update.

"We will continue to follow the latest news and advice from the World Health Organisation and public health organisations."

The BBC has also shut down filming on BBC One soap EastEnders, and also cut down its weekly schedule to just two episodes per week.

Holby City airs these scenes on Tuesday, April 14 at 8pm on BBC One.
