last night's opening felt like it was an homage to the very first episode. The theme tune definitely was.

The first scene in 1985 wasn't very family friendly but the opening titles were similar to Des looking around the street: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-UZGuzPzPE here from about 2:45.

Elly could have celebrated at home with her baby, had her birthday party and saved lives or Finn could have killed more pointless useless street residents

Wasn't Finn let off cos he had a brain tumour or something like, or did I just imagine that?

That was the original excuse (it was an aneurysm in the brain) for being like he was, when he switched Susan's meds, tried to flee with Xanthe etc
