I like the idea of Roy having to look after a teenager. No doubt she will turn out to be a rough diamond character, who will be reformed in a few months...

To some extent, she'll have a reason to be stroppy and difficult, given that her father is about to die and she's going to be left with someone she hardly knows. Even her current grumpiness is understandable, with Roy interfering (with good intentions, of course) and disrupting her life.

She is 17, which is why Richard asked Roy to look after her when he passes away.

It's great that they've something in common; I had a feeling it would be bats given they are night-time creatures...

I'm wondering if she will become friends with Mary, who also wore a Victorian-style mourning outfit when Brendan died...
